Sold a home in 2013.
Sofia Ellis was a darling to work with, sympathetic, highly professional and anticipating all possible problems which she always had a solution for.

Bought a home in 2013.
Sofia was very knowledgable and was a tremendous help with the recent purchase of our condo, which we bought as a rental property. In terms of going to visit properties or pulling up information on average rental rates in various neighborhoods, Sofia was always super responsive. She was an excellent guide throughout the contract negotiating process and was always on the ball (including choosing top class professionals to do the home inspection and handle the closing and constantly following up with the mortgage company and seller's real estate agent) to make sure that the entire process through to the closing ran smoothly and on schedule.

Bought a Townhouse home in 2012 for approximately $250K in Silver Spring, MD.
Being a first time buyer was an experience but I couldn't do it without Sofia's guidance.
I highly recommend Sofia Ellis because she worked above and beyond to accommodate my needs, we spent so much time together and I never felt pressured. She was always straightforward letting me know what could be possible for my case, she worked as an agent and as an adviser. Her ability to understand her clients needs make her easy to work with, she kept my best interest in mind.
I give Sofia 5 starts and I will tell you why: Knowledge, experience, professionalism, integrity, determination, honesty, passion, kindness, patience, trustworthy are among her skills and qualifications, just to mention a few.

Sold a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $275K in Capitol Heights, MD.
I tried getting my home sold with another agent and had no luck. After connecting with Sofia I immediately knew she could get it done. She was knowledgable about the process and gave suggestions on presentation and how to handle getting my home sold despite being a shortsale. Within two weeks we had a contract. Her administrative staff took it from there and was successful in getting my home sold. I am glad to recommend her!

Bought a Single Family home in 2006 for approximately $425K in Upper Marlboro, MD.
Sofia assisted me in purchasing my home in 2006. I was really impressed with her professionalism, diligence and knowledge of the real estate market in the area (PG County) in which I purchased my home. She was very patient as we looked at over 30 homes before I decided on the home I purchased. Sofia also provided me with sales information on the homes recently sold in the area, and really worked hard to help me find a home with all the features I specified. All in all I feel she is a great agent and I would recommend her highly to anyone seeking an agent that really makes one feel comfortable that the agent has the knowledge and perseverance to find the right home at the right price. I feel that working with Sofia was one of the best decisions I've made in regard to purchasing my dream home. I was really satisfied with the service she provided.

Sofia has assisted me with various real estate matters, including buying a home and securing tenants for my rental property. On each occasion, she has been extremely professional and resourceful. She has gone out of her way to assist me in securing the ideal property and good tenants.

Sofia made herself flexible to my schedule and responded to my specifications to the type of house I was looking for. Very pleasant and easy to work with as well as knowledgeable of the area I wanted to live in. I have recommended her and will to anyone who is seeking to purchase property with the DC metro area.

Bought a Condo home in 2010 in Foggy Bottom, Washington, DC.
We found Mr. Tom Murphy and his team over the internet two years ago as we were interested in buying property in his service areas. . We met and concluded a sale of a property through Mr. Murphy in the same day. This team proved quite efficient , trustworthy, extremely knowledgeable, and honest.
The whole team is so friendly and helpful that you cannot help but use their services over and over again. That is exactly what we did and will still definately do without any hesitation for all our property deals.
This team is very highly recommended.

Sold a Cooperative home in 1992 in Foggy Bottom, Washington, DC.
Tom Murphy sold me my apartment in Foggy Bottom. I did not believe I could afford a one bedroom apartment there (1992), but I put a bid in and the sellers accepted. It was truly a miracle and I'm still living there, happily.
During the years I have referred friends or acquaintances to Tom for apartment rentals or buying homes in the Metro area and he was very responsive in providing information and help to them.
Also I had to rent my apartment while caregiving in Connecticut for 2 1/2 years (2000)and his office helped me find renters during that time.
Just recently I was a personal representative on an estate at Watergate apartments and contacted Tom to sell the property. He was very thorough with the process, always keeping me updated and answering my questinos in a simple, patient and understandable way. He reviewed papers with me and was never in a hurry - He always has time.
He spent a great deal of time on the phone with the niece of the deceased who lives in California. She was interested in the possibility of buying her aunt's apartment at Watergate and Tom gave her a thorough knowledge of the guidelines for purchasing an apartment and living at Watergate and gave her a overview of the real estate market in the Metro DC area. She emailed me a thanked me for having Tom call her.
Tom has been a very trustworthy and kind person to me throughout the years and I will continue to keep in touch with him.
