Sold a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $475K in Fairfax, VA.

I recently engage Trish to help me sell my home. She put me in contact with a contracting firm additionally she provided independent contractors. They were great, my home was ready. She helped me every step of the way as any good professional would do. I was able to sell my home and was very happy with how Trish handled me needs. Trish asked me the very same questions as described by a prior poster, my only response is she wanted to know exactly what my needs were, I had no problem with that. Trust is the most important asset when it comes to business, bottom line I trust Trish so much so that after waiting 2 months to decide to buy another home, I contacted her. (Home sold 4105 Taylor Drive Fairfax VA 04/29/2012, hope to settle on new home 06/12/2012)

We connected, but it did not work out. Looking in Alexandria, VA

Ms. Corvelli contacted me almost immediately, therefore I had high hopes for working with her. I explained to her that I only wanted to see one listing that I came across and did not want to get pre-approved until I began looking diligently. Her response was rather off putting when she suggested I get approved now so that I don't "waste my time," assuming that I'd be unable to afford the property, or that I was looking outside of my price range. Subsequent to that comment, I received an email informing me that the condo fee was "almost" $700, and asking if I was ok with the fee. Maybe I'm just being sensitive but the term "almost" implies "more than you can probably afford to me," and if it was to be informative, I do not understand why she asked if I was "ok" with the fee. A few minutes later I receive an email introducing me to Ken who'd show me the listing. When I called about 15 minutes before we were to meet, to tell Ken I was stuck in traffic and that my sister was on her way, and could view the listing for me if I ran too late, he was very rude, and said he didn't want to wait for 30 minutes and I not show up. I reminded him that my sister was on her way, to which he replied "well where is she." I concluded my business with Corvelli Realty at that moment. I have not heard from Trish to clarify or apologize for Ken's attitude, however, given her comments, I do not expect to. I have two suggestions, use someone who understands they are working for you, or have your pre-approval letter, and maybe you'll receive better service.

Please accept my truly sincere apologies for the way in which you were treated by Ken. He is a new Realtor with our company, and I do so appreciate the feedback. With regard to the other items, please allow me to explain. Many times Buyers do not thoroughly read the listing and when they find out the high condo fees, they realize that they do not want to pay the amount. I just wanted to make certain that you were okay with that high fee. It is always best to speak with a lender to find out your buying power … what you can afford and what payments will be so that you are comfortable making your monthly payments. I think maybe the emails may not have been able to relay these items properly … and I do apologize for any misunderstanding.
