Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $350K in Mechanicsville, VA.
Wally is great to work with! We really enjoyed working with him & he made everything smooth from selling our home to finding the perfect home for us! We would highly recommend him to anyone & would use him as a Realtor in the future!
Bought a Single Family home in 2005 for approximately $225K in North Chesterfield, VA.
Wally is an excellent realtor with a very impressive knowledge of the housing market, financing options, and the house buying/selling process. While we haven't sold our house that Wally helped us buy 8 years ago, we will eventually move in to a larger house and will definitely use Wally again in selling our current house and buying our next house. As a first-time house buyer 8 years ago, Wally walked us through all the intricacies of home buying. He helped us negotiate the best possible deal where we even beat out higher bids on the property. Wally's help during the closing process was also instrumental. Wally and his team is very responsive to questions and requests and I couldn't imagine using another realtor!
Wally is one of the kindest people I've ever had the chance to meet. He was recommended to me and my husband by friends who have used him as a realtor several times. We were moving out of a rental and buying our first home, and Wally made the process as easy as he could for us. Due to the time crunch we were in, coupled with the fact that I was pregnant at the time, our house hunt wasn't exactly a breeze. Wally did everything in his power to guide us along the way and helped us make the best decision when the time came to make an offer. After looking at 39 houses, we finally found the one that was right for us. We could not have made it through the process of buying our first home without Wally. He was an invaluable asset, and we will absolutely use him when we sell (hopefully a long time from now).
Bought a Condo home in 2012 for approximately $350K in Glen Allen, VA.
Wally did an outstanding job throughout the buying process. He emailed us properties we may be interested in and was willing to show them to us with very short notice. He understands the costs to make repairs to a house, which was very helpful when trying to determine the value of a property. I strongly recommend Wally to anyone looking for a Realtor in the Richmond area and hope to work with him again when we look for our next house. Thanks!
Sold a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $175K in Richmond, VA.
Wally is a very nice man and rather knowledgeable about the Richmond market. When it came to selling the house we ended up selling it for $7k less than the negotiated price because of the appraisal. I would have expected that Wally could have possibly have seen this as a possibility and we were completely caught off guard. Both he and the buyers agent did come off their commissions to make the sale happen, however, which was wonderful.
I would have liked more personal direction on staging the house, rather than just a CD. He also called my husband "Mike" - his name is "Mark". Lastly, I had to correct one or two things in the process that Wally missed, which shouldn't have happened. I'm glad we were able to have a contract on our house in less than one month but wouldn't use him again.

Due to your comments we now do all of our listing appointments in our office to avoid any distractions/confusion.You were planning to relocate & wanted to get as much as possible for your home so our goal was to try & hit the highest price possible. In reviewing the comps I think you may have been distracted as to where some of the low sales data came from (1 was a foreclosure across the street) & that the appraisal could be lower than expected. The video I supplied you with in preparing your home for sale has always received excellent reviews & the fact that your house sold in < than 30 days & $7K over assessment indicates that our efforts at staging & pricing your home worked as did our marketing. We always ask sellers ro review the info the MLS, our fact sheets & all of our marketing materials for corrections &/or additions. Many times what we feel is important for possible buyers to see isn't as important to the actual sellers.
