Two things about me you'll enjoy -- For 11 years, I've been the creator and host of Ask The Real Estate Guy with Jack Lane, northern Michigan's #1 real estate show.  And, at the age of 24, I put a backpack on and spent six months walking 1007 miles along the shoreline of Michigan -- just to satisfy my curiosity about what was out there.  Do I know beaches?  Oh yeah, I know beaches!  (I never dreamed I would ever be able to use THAT particular knowledge while I was doing it, mind you.)

The most important thing about me you'll enjoy is the truth about what really goes on in real estate.  It's what my radio show is all about and I think it's one of the biggest things people want out of a Realtor.  Is it priced right?  Are there hidden problems that I"ll only figure out a year down the road?  What's the Seller's backstory?  Is there an advantage or disadvantage I'm not seeing?  Am I being steered in the right direction by my lender, my insurance person, the title people?

And then the connections.  I grew up, here.  There are days when I feel like I know everyone in town.  At the least, I know who you should deal with for all the new lifestyle changes in front of you.  And I'm a great sounding board for new ventures.  Most of the time, I'll be the voice of caution -- I"ve seen a lot of shall we say "interesting ideas" come and go.  If it's a property search gone bad, I can find properties for you that aren't necessarily "on the market".  Again, knowing what's going on around town combined with an ability to find the win/win spot for people.

They're still allowing me to write more?  Well, let's see, my 8th birthday party was ruined by Kennedy's assassination -- that was a good story.  Stupid Oswald! I caught freight trains and worked on boats instead of going to college -- people like that story.  The walk around Michigan.  I had a great 20 minute argument with Ralph Nader one night in Utah.  Despite the fact that I'm a die hard MSU fan, both my sons went to Michigan, people seem to enjoy that.  I lost a job writing for a Senator when a young upstart named John Engler stunned us in an election.  I wrote three scripts for Cheers back when it was king of t.v.  I ran the Boston Marathon in 3:28 a long, long time ago.  

Alright, I've waaaayyy overstayed my welcome, here.  Point is, I'll take fabulous care of your real estate deal and I'll even humor you a bit along the way.  Don't discount the need for humor as you wend your way through the jungle of acquiring or selling a property.  True story. 

If you're looking anywhere between Crystal Lake and Lake Charlevoix, you'll love the way I make deals happen.  And, always, the honesty.
