Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $175K in Louisville, KY.
I was faced with the task of selling a house in Louisville that was part of an estate. I live in Florida and I was at a loss of what to do.
I contacted Remax and spoke with Michael Higdon. He listed the property and he and his staff were helpful in every detail. Not only did they sell the house, they assisted finding trades to do numerous repairs. Without their expertise and knowledge, I would have had to travel there to handle these matters. They have been thorough, efficient and kind.

Michael really knows how to adapt his style to suit the specific needs of each buyer (and the negotiation style for each seller), but is consistently friendly, helpful, and available. He recognizes the timely nature of the business, and is great at keeping the ball rolling so you never waste time-- but he can also be flexible,recognizing that your schedule is important.

Listed, but didn't sell my Single Family home in 2013 in Louisville, KY.
Our listing with Michael started well and achieved the requisite numbers for "page views" via Zillow, but there seemed to be little in the way of directl follow up from the few showings we had. Part of this may have been market / area influenced.
However, the real disappointment came when, after listing for 6 months, our listing was suddenly "dropped". This may have been a condition of our listing contract. To be honest, I don't recall. But the method in which it was handled was sudden, and almost rude. There was no advance phone call or discussion about this. I received an email from his assistant stating that the listing was "closed", the lock box and sign were removed, and the keys were "in the mail" on the day they did this. I find this to be short sighted and definitely not customer oriented.
Ultimately, my feeling was that Mr. Higdon didn't have (or want to take) the time to deal with me.

Tom, thanks for the review and your honesty. I do need to correct you on a couple of items. The listing agreement was for six months and the at the end of the six month contract, by our rules and regulations we have to remove signs and lock boxes from the property. This was communicated to you by phone when we spoke 5 days prior to the expiration. We have all listings set up on our "Homefeedback" service and out of the 30+ showings we had on the property, the one constant feedback was that the property was "overpriced". We did discuss with you on numerous occasions the need to make a price adjustment to reflect feedback from the market and the showing agents. The need for this adjustment was also reflected in the lack of showings we saw towards the end of the listing cycle.

Michael made sure he understood what I was looking for in a home and continued to send me new properties as they were listed. I was living out of town and wanted to get back to the area quickly but he wouldn't let me settle when a few came across that i said were possibilities.
He also pointed out the quality of the properties we were looking at and noted any items that may be issues for me down the road. He was really looking out for my best interest and not to just close a deal.
I highly recommend Michael!

We had a fantastic experience with Michael and highly recommend him to anyone who might be entering the market to buy or sell real estate. To begin, Michael and his team sat down with us to find out exactly what we we looking for and what area of the city we wanted. Once he had that information, we started our search. It didn't take long at all and we had found the ideal home in the ideal area for us!! As far as selling our "old" home, that was a snap as well. In less than 2 weeks we had accepted an offer. We were thrilled!
