Sold a Multiple Occupancy home in 2013 in Gardiner, NY.
It is too easy to say that so-and-so is terrific, but in reality it is the specifics that count. We interviewed Wendie Reid along with two other brokers at the recommendation of a close friend who is a retired broker, who had explained to us that all three have different styles and that all three are good, that we would have to decide which we feel most comfortable with. Wendie resolved that question by being the ONLY one of the three who followed through—on keeping in touch—on sharing other listings—on presenting us with comparables. It became a no-brainer that we would be utilizing her services to sell our home.
She sold our home before it even went on the market! Personally we don’t feel there was anything uniquely special about our typical three-bedroom split level house, but she managed to present it in a light that “grabbed” the buyers, who were indeed the first persons to look at it—and in truth (and in our opinion) well before it was ready to be shown! Her philosophy of “a house sells itself” rather than her being aggressive is an powerful characteristic in a sales agent; she makes herself available as a resource rather than pushes herself onto potential buyers (which too often can mean BETWEEN potential buyers and a property). We might add that the price we SOLD for after negotiations was exactly what the two other sales agents had suggested that we LIST at! Wendie is on top of the market!
One other of Wendie’s characteristics is particularly noteworthy: her attention to detail. Although this had been our primary home for decades, in recent years, with a retirement home elsewhere, we had spent less and less time here. She was able to address various points—by page number!—of a structural report to justify certain positions we had taken regarding condition of the house. She remembered details that we—the owners of the house—had forgotten! And with this attention to detail, she made the whole process of selling as objectively efficient and at the same time as easy for us sellers who were giving up a home of several decades. We could not possibly write a more positive review of a real estate sales agent!

Sold a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $375K in New Paltz, NY.
Wendie Reid has represented me in the buying and selling of several homes over the past 20 years, and I have been completely satisfied with every transaction. Her service is impeccable, and highly thorough. She is someone you can trust to be fair and ethical. My experience, and the experience of others I know that have hired her, has been that Wendie always goes the extra mile to take care of her customers. Whenever I am asked to recommend a local Realtor, I always tell them, "Wendie Reid is the best".
I was already living in Florida at the time I asked Wendy to sell my home in Gardiner. She came in very respectfully and gave me suggestions for staging. The virtual tour that she put on line was very professionally done and I am sure played a major role in my sale. She was always available to me by phone and email and very prompt with returning calls.
Wendy had a good rapport with the other realtors in the area which made showings go very smoothly. She even scheduled appointments for showing while she was away on vacation. My home sold within 6 months.
I have recommended Wendy to friends!
Wendie was our broker in the sale of many homes in our subdivision. She's smart, professional, creative, knowledgeable, and an experienced negociator. We recommend her without reservation, whether you're buying or selling.
Sold a Single Family home in 2009 in Gardiner, NY.
Wendie listed and sold my house in Gardiner a few years ago. She is a seasoned professional who knows how to get the job done. She has an extensive network and knowledge of the area. Honest, upfront and professional.
House sold quickly and she handled everything wonderfully. Nothing but professional. She takes her work seriously and gets results.
I am moving back to the area and am using her again, this time for a purchase. Highly recommend.
Sold a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $375K in New Paltz, NY.
Wendie Reid worked hard with us to get our house sold in a relatively short period of time. She knows her market well and helped us to price it right. We found a buyer in just a few months and from negotiation to closing, she was patient, informative and sensitive to our needs throughout the entire process. She is professional, knowledgable, efficient and personable. I would recommend her highly.
Listed, but didn't sell my Single Family home in 2012 in New Paltz, NY.
Wendie is the best agent I have worked with, For my job I interact with many though I worked with her on a personal sale. Her knowledge and negotiation skills are second to none. She is very ethical and fair and frank and I recommend her to anyone looking for an "honest agent". For unrelated reasons I decided to stay in my home when it was all said and done, but will call on Wendie in a few years.
Sold a Multiple Occupancy home in 2010 in Kingston, NY.
I have had many deals with Wendie Reid and what I like about her is that she is very proactive. She helps you at every stage of proceedings and is constantly pushing her client if a buyer, to do whatever is necessary to secure a mortgage loan, pushing the attorneys to do what they have to do, solving problems regarding any inspections, doing leg work to obtain various items like survey maps, municipal records, and following up. Unlike many agents she doesn't let matters slip in between the cracks. If the seller has to make any repairs or remediate any conditon she is on top of the situation helping the seller make the arrangemens. She also makes excellent suggestions to make the house more saleable and more marketable. She doesn't feel she has earned her commission when she gets a binder or collects a deposit. She is heavily involved in all phases of the transaction until it is actually completed and you have closed on the purchase or sale of your home. She doesn't take things for granted and she doesn't dump everything in the attorneys lap. She is actively engaged.
