01/10/2013 - user95578100Sold a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $1.75M in Bethesda, MD.
Hans helped us sell one home on Bethesda and buy another one. I would highly recommend him and the whole Wydler Brothers team to anyone in the area. They were enormously valuable in every aspect of both transactions.
Response from Hans
In a mere three month period, Hans and his team helped coordinate the renovation of our basement, staging of our property, listing and marketing, and ultimately closing. Most remarkable is that we had already moved out-of-state and he did it all without us needing to be physically present. The avoidance of stress was a life-saver, and the price we received was more than acceptable and pretty close to ideal. We highly recommend Hans and the Wydler Brothers team. They have experience, expertise, and a staff in place to efficiently cover all bases in the home selling process.

Hans and his team member, Maura McGowan Gordy, did a terrific job. They had great knowledge of local market trends--what was selling and for how much for comparable homes--and key factors that would contribute to the sale of our house. They gave us great help in identifying factors that could sell our house and recommended a firm to stage our house. All of the prep work paid off. We had a very attractive offer in 10 days, while little other inventory was moving in MD. Hans and Maura responded quickly to email, text, or phone and this was key for getting the house ready for sale all the way to settlement. They offered great insight into pricing and approaches as we progressed through all the contingencies. I recommend them highly.

Hans recently served as both my listing and buyer's agent. Prior to our initial meeting, I decided that in these rather challenging economic times, where homes are moving slowly and the seller is chagrined by the devaluation of his nest egg, I needed to do some research before selecting a real estate professional to assist me in major life-altering changes. My decision to select Hans, initially, was based upon his extremely impressive credentials; my resolve to retain him was the result of his genuine concern for my best interest, warmth, and lack of pressure to sell or buy. The end result was total satisfaction with his marketing abilities, responsiveness, negotiation skills, and willingness to compromise to achieve our end goals. I would not consider usingny any one else in any future real estate transactions.

We really had a great experience with Hans and his team. When listing in the DC area it is extremely important to have someone with name recognition and Hans definitely has that. Additionally, he works as a team so there is always someone around knowledgeable to take care of any issues. Our house was put under contract in 7 days with multiple offers- so we could not be any happier! Most importantly, though, was the fact that Hans and his team take an evidence based, data driven approach to real estate- something that is typically lacking with most brokers.

Hans did a great job selling our house! He and his entire team provided top notch service, from pricing, marketing materials, staging referral, timing, rent-back, price negotiations, etc. and we got competing bids and, ultimately, our asking price after only 2 1/2 weeks on the market. The edge Wydler Brothers provides over other agents is three-fold 1) Incredibly professional service, 2) High quality professional marketing, which is especially important for homes priced near or over $1 million and 3) a very smart, experienced and trusted adviser on what it takes to get the deal done. All in all, our experience selling our house couldn't have been better.

We have sold three homes and used three different realtors over the last ten years. Hans and his group was by far the most experienced, professional, and customer-centric. From early in the process of price setting and home staging, to the market analysis and detailed marketing plan and execution, Hans and his team were incredible. Even in a less than stellar housing market, Hans and his group generated a lot of attention to our house through online advertising (they made sure our listing was "higher" than others on the websites), brokers' open, mailings, and emailing/advertising to other realtors. We had quick, multiple offers and will absolutely use Hans and his team for our next home sale/purchase and have recommended them to our friends.

We had a great experience working with Hans, who helped us find and buy our dream home -- a fieldstone colonial manse originally built in the 1920's. We looked for about a year, visiting several dozen properties. Hans was very professional and patient with us. We heartily recommend his services.

Has and his team did a superlative job both in selling a DC home (the first day, at offer) and later buying a Bethesda home. One terrific advantage is his brother covers McLean---we were looking in both areas. Hans lives in and knows the Maryland as well as the DC market intimately. While consciencious and throughtful for you as his client, he is all business when it comes to the search and transaction. No detail is overlooked. I did both transactions essentially out of the country on assignment for my work. For the sale I was never on location except for meeting Hans and his team early on. He is careful to present options when you are making purchase or selling decisions, and he'll give his opinion, but there is no pressure. Overall, a trustworthy and effective pick for buying or selling.
Essentially all you have to do is decide on a house.

From the moment we met Hans Wydler, we knew that we were in the hands of a consummate professional. Because we had lived in our home for 42 years, we were "property virgins," because we had never sold a home before. And ours was a double transaction: sale of a home and purchase of a condo. No matter, Hans and his team took care of us.
It is often sail that you can judge leaders by the people they chose for their teams. If this is so, then Hans is the epitome of leadership: his team is without peer. Yasmin, Patty Millar, and Lauren Heyman provided us with expert and compassionate service, the latter most significant as our experience following a difficult home inspection required a lot of hand-holding. On several occasions, Hans stepped in and became a most effective advocate. If it hadn't been for him, we would not be writing this review from our beautiful new condo.
We have already recommended Hans and his team to several of our friends who plan to sell their homes. We can think of no higher recommendation than this. In retrospect, our entire experience, from sale to purchase was most pleasant, thanks to Hans and his wonderful team; they are the best!
