We used Pam as our selling agent and were extremely dissatisfied. She is an agent that is truly out for the bottom line…her commission. The lack of professionalism and follow ups were very disappointing. We did not feel that she was looking out for us in our best interest. Luckily we have worked with another agent (buyer’s agent) from a different office and know that there is a difference and that the quality of service we received from Pam is not what should be expected when working with a Realtor.
We did end up selling our house through Pam the last month of her contract, but the ordeal was a complete nightmare. The attitude she had with us was that we should have accepted whatever was being put in front of us regardless if it was a good deal for us or not. It felt as if she was fighting for the buyers more than she was fighting for us. After the sales agreement was signed there were very few follow ups advising us as to when people would be entering our home for inspections, etc. This was very concerning to us since we had already moved out of state prior to the sale of our house. She and the buyer’s agent, who works for Pam in the same office, allowed the contract to expire without sending us or the buyer an extension agreement due to the delay with the lenders finance company. It was only after I had mentioned this to Pam did we receive an extension agreement. This put both parties in jeopardy of one party walking away from the deal if they wanted. The day before closing she tried to renegotiate the commission terms that we had previously agreed upon for this particular sales agreement. This, in my opinion, was extremely unprofessional. This was a result of the buyers lending agency requiring modifications to the agreed upon amendments that resulted in us gaining additional funds which wasn’t realized by any party until the day before closing when the settlement agreement was generated. If this had been realized in advance then maybe it would have been acceptable to renegotiate the terms, but not the day before closing when we had to sign the settlement forms and send them overnight for the closing. This could have caused a delay in the closing if we were unable to get the documents out in time which would have resulted in us paying for an additional months worth of interest on our mortgage.
I would not recommend Pam to anyone based on our experience with her. My only hope is that whoever signs an agreement with Pam is someone that understands contracts and does not allow her to bully them into whatever she is pushing on them.…MoreLess
