Sold a Single Family home in 2015 in Ann Arbor, MI.
I am so glad we chose Tom to list our house. This is what he did for us:
1. ALWAYS was available and or called back within an hour of leaving him a message
2. Provided us with an extensive market evaluation portfolio and took the time to thoroughly walk us through it so we felt confident in accepting his suggested listing price
3. Helped us determine how best to present our house to the market-in our case he realized that there were oak flooors under our old carpet throughout the house and arranged for a contractor to come in and rip up the carpet and refinish the floors for a price that was extremely reasonable and they looked absloutely beautiful. This helped us maximize our selling price greatly. He also arranged to have some painting done, the windows cleaned, and to have a broken garage door fixed and made sure all the work was done on time, properly, and was done at a reasonable cost.
4. Helped us decide which offer to accept (in our case we had 2 on the 1st day the house was on the market) and to ensure that all the
buyer's contingincies were signed off on exactly when they were supposed to be.
5. Got the deal done exactly as he said he would and never pushed or hard sold us. We felt like we were partners in the process.
I would highly reccomend Tom to anyone who is looking for an honest broker who will faithfully represent your interests in a professional caring manner. If you have any doubts at all after talking with other brokers, please do yourself a favor and call him. If you are one half as pleased with him as we were you'll be glad you did
Bought a Single Family home in 2015 for approximately $225K in Ypsilanti, MI.
Tom Stachler was recommended to us by a friend. We found him very knowledgeable. We are new to home ownership and he pointed out various things in a house to look for/avoid as well as negotiating points. What I loved about Tom was his promptness, the way he made sure everything happened in a timely fashion, his follow up, and his ability to recommend contractors to work with on home projects. I would definitely recommend him to others. We found a home in Ypsilanti that we love and are currently having one of his recommended painters paint the house. Couldn't be more pleased!
We connected, but it did not work out. Looking in Jackson, MI
I would by no means suggest in any regards the business 'prowess' of Tom Stachler. I contacted this man in regards to a property in which the outbuildings were literally crumbling and falling apart and the weeds were shoulder high - his listings online however showed buildings in pristine condition with freshly manicured lawns - but he lists them as newly remodeled and painted and talks about how everything is fresh and new.
This man's deceptive business practices only serve to prove the desperation of some businessmen to lie to online potential clients to get as much money as possible for a house that is literally falling apart - and when brought to question about his potential mistakes his first response is to say 'You couldnt afford it anyway'.

This individual certainly has a lot of extra time on his hands. To be accurate, the gentleman was informed during his 30 second phone call, that the property had photos taken when the tenants took possession of the home over a year ago and yes recently the grass was left uncut. This prospect was never inside even one of the buildings so I don't know how they can comment on the condition of the property other than peeping through a tenants windows. I remember the person because 5 seconds into the call, he started belittling the condition of the property and especially the price the seller had placed upon it even though they had never toured the property. One truthful statement they did make however.....We did say "it didn't matter anyway".... but we explained to him that was because someone else had seen the value and had an accepted offer for more than the current listing price!
I started looking for a house in the Ann Arbor area, and ran across Tom's website. I chatted with him for a while, and then my circumstances changed and I began looking in Jackson. Tom still worked with me, and I found a house that was perfect for our needs. Tom met me at the property, we looked at it, and I put in an offer. I moved into the home last week. There were some difficulties as it was a Fannie Mae property, but Tom was very responsive via email, which worked well for me. I am extremely pleased with the house, and with the services he provided. A lot of the work was via email and through his website, but when I found a property, Tom was right there to show it to me, put in the offer, and work with me to keep me informed during the lengthy process. I would recommend him to others who are buying a property in the area. Thanks Tom!
Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $300K in Canton, MI.
We used Tom to both find and purchase a new home and then to sell our current home. Tom worked well with us to locate and visit new potential homes. He was very helpful and showed us the type homes we were after and helped us through the negotiation process. When it came time to sell, Tom provided useful advice for staging and pricing the home. He represented us well and got a good price for our home. We would and have recommended Tom's services to others.

Tom's reviews do not reflect the experience I got. All I was directed to was a website, then do all the leg work yourself. What I mean by that is: the only contact I had with Tom is if I was interested in a house through his webpage. He did not suggest homes for me in the Ann Arbor area that I would be interested and then give me the lead on the house, AA is a tough market so you need a go-getter who is willing to help you find a home; not a man out for himself.
I moved on so should you.

Scam response: The listing referenced is 3049 Appleridge which is currently an active property which has not been sold since 1997. In the submission they reference I helped them with a house and provided the address. In the paragraph they reference they didn't work with me. Which is it since they conflict. Obviously a scammer or a untruthful person we would not have chosen to work with.

My wife and I were referred to Tom Stachler by a friend who recently used him to purchase their home. They were happy with Tom so we decided to give him a chance.
Tom sent us some homes to look at through his website and we met with him for the first time on a Wednesday to go look at some listings. By the end of the night Tom had an idea of what we were looking for and suggested that we drive through a neighborhood not far from where we were. On the drive home, my wife and I looked in the neighborhood Tom suggested and a house caught our eye. We sent Tom an e-mail that night and the next day (Thursday) we did a walk through, Friday we made an offer and it was accepted two hours later. Less than a month later we moved in and I'm currently writing this review from inside our new home.
Tom held our hands through the whole process, he made sure we were not taken advantage of and the mortgage company he suggested was great to work with!!! Tom was always available and prompt to return calls/e-mails which was important for me!
Tom Stachler did a great job for us and I would recommend him to anyone who needs good, sound advice from a competent Realtor!
One of the most resourceful and energetic real estate brokers I have worked with. Seemed to work 24/7; yes, he responded to my emails on Sundays. Yes, he provided a seemingly endless number of use resources at his web site. Yes, he provided important and up-to-date data on Ann Arbor and surrounding communities.

We recently purchased a home and used Tom Stachler for our realtor. He was exceptional !!! The house had several bids but Tom's negotiating skills were wonderful and we won the bidding war. Tom answered all of our questions promptly -even on weekends and late at night. Since the closing he has frequently contacted us to make sure that we are happy with our new home. I would highly recommend him.
