Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $1.1M in Almaden Valley, San Jose, CA.
Abe is the ideal agent. Responsive beyond belief. For example, I had a question about taxation, he had a CPA on the line immediately, which answered the question. This was a complicated transaction in which I was the successor trustee of a trust in which possessed the house. Abe possessed extreme knowledge and had the resources at his fingertips to get the job done correctly. We faced the disappointment of the high bidder backing out. No matter, he persuaded the next highest bidder to improve their offer. Abe exceeded all expectations. I am very pleased I picked him, I highly recommend him.

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $2.275M in Foster City, CA.
Abe is fabulous and he is deserves all 5 stars on every review. Thanks Abe for helping us to purchase the most beautiful water front view house in the town. My family enjoy the beautiful house so much and we could not be happier. We chose Abe for his extensive knowledge of the Sam Francisco Bay Area real estate, his professionalism, and his integrity. It was so essential that we had an agent we could rely on and trust. One of the things we really appreciated about Abe was his sense of urgency; everything was a priority. Whenever we had a question, whether via email or phone, he responded right away. He kept us up to date on every step of the buying process. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a house.

Sold a Condo home in 2014 for approximately $575K in Pacifica, CA.
While we were looking for a realtor to help us to sell our home, we stumbled upon Abe’s name accidentally, and boy, were we lucky. Let me summarize our experience with realtors this way: There are real estate “professionals” and then there are very few true real estate professionals like Abe Matar. I cannot say enough about how he handled our home selling process. Simply put, I cannot imagine the whole process to have gone more smoothly and rapidly than it did, and I could not be more satisfied with the result. Abe’s operation, from the initial time that he returned our call in search of a listing agent, all the way to the final steps of completing the transaction ran like a well oiled machine. In the Bay Area housing market, there are already enough difficulties and stress in buying and selling a home. You don’t need the added frustration and stress of working with a below average, or just an average, or even slightly above average realtor. And you certainly deserve better than someone who think his or her job is to send you weekly MLS listings. This is 2014, and we live in the Bay Area. Anyone with a computer can search Internet, Zillow, Redfin, MLS. You don’t need a realtor for that. You need someone who understands you, and understands the market, and truly works for you to get you the best deal. I really could say more about Abe, but I will stop here. For us, having Abe as our listing agent simply made the whole process a breeze. We highly recommend him.

Sold a Condo home in 2014 for approximately $600K in South San Francisco, CA.
Abe is excellent, knowledgeable, and aggressive agent. He treats your property as his own trying to get you top dollars. He has a great team for staging, cleaning, and minor repairs, so he is capable to provide a complete solution for the seller. I was in a time crunch and needed to sell my condo ASAP. His team prepared my property for open house (staging, cleaning, repairs) and he sold it in 10 days and got me 15% over asking price. I was truly amazed and he exceeded all my expectations. This was my first property I was selling, so I was a bit worry about the whole process, but after hiring Abe, you can just relax and wait for the deal to close. Highly recommend him and will use him for all my future real estate transactions.

I had two transactions with Mr. Matar. His attitude is very proffessional. He has good negotiation skills and he pays attention to details. His knowledge is way above what I previously experienced with other realtors.

Sold a home in 2014.
Abe did a wonderful job helping us sell our house last month. Within 2 weeks of contacting him, he had our house on the market and ready for showings. He set up inspections, stagers, and even had folks help move some of our furniture into our garage. His strategy and timing worked such that within 2 weeks of going on the market, we got multiple offers and accepted a non contingent one closing in 21 days at over 110% asking. Everything went well without a hitch. Throughout the whole process, Abe was responsive and available to answer questions, address concerns, and keep us updated. We communicated via text, email, and phone day and night. He informed us about everything from the open house traffic and potential offers to when the buyer's loan got approved and when the house closed and officially recorded. He was even there at the signing and helped entertain our 2 year old so we could focus on the docs. We would most certainly recommend Abe to our family and friends interested in selling their homes. He is strategic, patient, well connected, and will get the job done well.

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $725K in South San Francisco, CA.
Abe just helped me buying my first home. I have tried three different agents before and Abe was nothing like them. He is excellent communicator, any time I try to contact him, I got very quick respond. He does not push you to get the deal done. He has lots of knowledge of the market and the process, looked for what we need and give us a great advice and explained to us the advantages and disadvantage of any home for sale. I highly recommend him to anyone.

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $1.4M in Baywood Knolls, San Mateo, CA.
Abe helped my wife and I purchase a home earlier this month (Dec. ‘12). This low inventory market buyers are currently experiencing can be extremely frustrating. With the houses that we were targeting getting 5-10 offers each, we soon realized that unless we were prepared to significantly over-bid or come up with an all cash offer, we would need to go into each potential home with an innovative offer strategy. And here is an area where Abe particularly excels. I can honestly say that we would not be moving into the ideal home we were looking for if it wasn’t for Abe.

Here are some more things about working with Abe that I really appreciated:

-- He knows the Peninsula market extremely well. He was able to predict with remarkable accuracy how much homes would end up selling for.

-- He works extremely hard for you-- going above and beyond. Quick example, while we were in escrow, the Bay Area had a week of severe rain storms. He decided to check on the house, went into the basement, and discovered that it had flooded. He immediately called the seller’s agent so she could take care of it before we were to move in.

-- He is very well connected. I didn’t need an agent to tell me when houses hit the MLS. Anybody reading this review should be able to set up a simple alert. I wanted someone who could dig deeper and find off-market listings or approach potential sellers and convince them to sell their home. For the home we ended up purchasing, he alerted me 2 weeks before it hit the MLS, which gave us more time to evaluate this home.

-- He is a pleasure to work with. I always felt like he was giving me advice as if he was giving it to a member of his family.

I have always been skeptical of real estate agents. Well after I witnessed first hand all the value that Abe contributed to our lengthy house hunting process and closing, I now have to admit that some agents do earn every penny of their commision. Needless to say, I can wholeheartedly recommend Abe to anyone looking for a great agent.
