Bought a home in 2013.
It’s hard to overstate Doug’s qualifications, but let me try. We had been looking for our first house for over a year, and Doug helped us through every step of the process. From day one (when he answered his phone right away, as he is wont to do), he was attentive and accessible. Though all of the walk-throughs and difficult decisions, he exercised patience and understanding. When we finally made and offer and, later, went through the process of securing a mortgage and finally closing, he was always available to answer our questions (even admittedly stupid questions) and walk us through the (sometimes labyrinthine) steps. Doug is friendly and personable, an excellent (and realistic) negotiator, and often makes it seem like you’re his only clients. He has also worked and lived in the area for many years, and has plenty of excellent relationships and contacts, and his worth goes far beyond your typical real estate agent. If we ever have to sell our new home, Doug will be at the top of our list. You’ll love working with him.

I cannot say enough good things about Doug Morrow. He was such a pleasure with whom to work. A professional and a gentleman in every sense of the word, he was always friendly and extremely personable. Doug sold my mother's house for me in less than two weeks. He walked me through every step and was immediately responsive to every phone call and email. A last minute glitch the day before the closing was not a problem for Doug. He took care of it promptly and professionally, sparing me the stress and anxiety. Doug is an extremely well qualified real estate professional to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to sell or purchase real estate on the North Shore.

I found Doug through Zillow when I was looking to sell my condo. Doug was great! We communicated mainly through email (at my request) and Doug always kept me updated on showing requests and news about recent sales comparable to my condo. Once I had an offer, he did a great job representing me, and when a few issues arose very close to the closing date he was very responsive to my emails and kept me appraised of what the buyers were doing. I would definitely work with Doug again!

Our experience with Doug:

First off, let me just say that there are not enough stars here. There should be a special 6 or even 10 star selection for people like Doug. He is the perfect combination of honest, not pushy, and “at your beck and call” to the point were it feels like he works for you instead of an agency. He, at all times, knew exactly where we were in the process from getting ready to sell with a thousand questions, putting our house on the market, finding a new house, inspections, appraisals, financing, deeds, lawyers, and the ungodly amount of paperwork and process that goes into closing two houses (the one we bought and the one we sold) on the same day. Here is how my home selling experience went;

I, (much like you) decided to put my house on the market mostly because I needed a bigger house for a growing family. At first I thought ‘maybe I can do this without a realtor’ and quickly discounted that idea after very little research. Honestly, I didn’t even begin to know where to begin looking for a realtor. So I went on Zillow, typed in my zip code, and started reading reviews. Doug was at the top of the list so on a whim I clicked the link to send him a message. Within 5 (not exaggerating) minutes I got a phone call from him. If you choose to work with Doug you will quickly get use to this kind of treatment.

When we did the initial meet and greet Doug listened to our plans and our timeline and absolutely tailored his plan to sell our house around them without once asking us to modify our plans around his. Most importantly he was completely and refreshingly honest with us and did not simply tell what we wanted to hear. I asked him what he would do to the house if it was his house and he was going to put it on the market. I basically made a list of his suggestions, followed it to the tee and let it go on the market. We sold my house for over the asking price in one day.

We also used Doug as our buying agent and he helped us find the perfect house for the perfect price. How is this possible? He listened to us, got to know us, and knew exactly what we wanted, where we wanted, and how much we wanted to spend. We have been in our new house for about a month now, have had no surprises, and have never been happier.

We highly recommend Doug Morrow! He knows the market & was an absolute pleasure to work with!

Extremely professional, persistent and patient! This is the person you want to work with if you have any type of unusual circumstances. I had to sell after relocating. Doug was all of the above descriptions! He did not back down after many low points in the process. He remained solid and steadfast throughout the entire process. I am very grateful for his persistence. He also has great connections in the area which makes it a seamless process if you are trying to sell from out of State. He essentially took care of everything for me. I would not hesitate in recommending Doug to anyone particularly a Friend or Family member. Very trustworthy.

Doug is very personable to work with. He always gets back to you in a timely manor . He is knowledgeable in his craft and will find you the answer if he needs to. Very pleasant agent to work with and I would not hesitate to use Doug in the future. I will definitely suggest him to all my friends.

Sold a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $150K in Salem, MA.
Doug helped me sell a fourth floor walk up condo in salem city while I live in Nj in about 4 months. He was very knowledgable about the location and very proactive about getting showings lined up even while on his vacation. He took a lot of the stress off my shoulder and would highly reccomend him.

Sold a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $250K in Lynn, MA.
Unethical Agent - Do not be fooled by his "Nice Guy" demeanor!

I hired Doug as my agent to sell the home. He knew I wanted to sell my home quickly because I bought another house and he knew what my bottom price was. He brought in one offer and never disclosed that he was also the buyer's agent! We never signed a dual agent agreement. At each step of the way, he helped the buyer and I never knew until the end.

1. After we had agreed at a listing price, he cut another $900 without my knowledge; 2. He helped the buyer make an offer at my "bottom price" and for me to pay closing cost for the buyer; 3. The buyer paid “0” down payments in Purchase and Sale agreement which all the buyers usually pay at lease 3% down to protect seller’s intent. He concealed the fact that he was a duel agent, and put me in the dark until I had argument with him after I signed the P&S.

Additionally, Doug is now reselling the home and he posted 19 old pictures with my personal belongings, furniture, etc. Those pictures were taking in 2011 when I hired him as my agent to sell my house. It is unethical and inappropriate for him to show the house during my ownership. He should take new pictures to show the current condition of this house. I had talked with him over the phone and told him that I want to him to take the pictures down. He refuses to do so. I even called his manager who sided with Doug. DO NOT deal with this unethical agent and his office!
