Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $300K in South Scottsdale, Scottsdale, AZ.

Ryan and Deborah are the best son and mother team real estate agents in Phoenix bar none!!

I was a first time home buyer almost years ago in 2011; my wife and I just moved to the Valley due to work relocation living in an Apartment. We were new to the location, and had no experience in real estate process or understanding.

We first met Debra at a local dog park, while we let our puppies run loose, we would chat and talk get to know each other over several months. As we talked about my wife and my plans in the valley; and purchasing property, she offered to show us some properties; We were then introduced to her son Ryan at the first house we saw. Little did we know on our way to purchasing property; we were making lifelong friends and learning about real estate in the Valley during the process.

We were looking for about 9 months, with the markets ups and downs and cash buy outs, as rookie buyers we had our fair share of excitement, and disappointments. But as we were going forward; Deborah and Ryan backed us all the way with no pressure to buy on impulse and explaining key elements of the locations and properties we were seeing. We would keep in contact with them every day, Ryan helping us secure the listing and doing the information digging about the property and the surrounding areas. Deborah would take us looking at them after my wife and I got off work… sometimes the hunt would go into late evenings.

It wasn’t until December 2011 that we finally found a single family home that fit all of our requirements a week before Christmas; just as we saw it pop up on Zillow; Deborah called us around the same time tell us the same that she found; immediately we set up to see the property on Sunday morning, we liked what we saw, Ryan and Deb got going to write the contract for it that afternoon, Monday morning was received, as first bid, in front of five other potential buyers!

This is where we learned how valuable good real estate agents are; and the difference they make in the process…

Let me begin that the short sale closed after 10 months after it was initiated; our battle was won and we purchased as happy home owners. But during that time, Ryan and Deborah kept us in the loop, got us what we needed every step of the way. They went to bat for us after when we almost lost the bid due to when the selling agency was slow and the seller uncooperative and out of state credit union which was steering the short sale the wrong way. Ryan and Deborah went chasing them and demanding due diligence to be completed for everything off kilter. They found us a great loan officer, and made things simple for us Rookies; even locked in a great 30 year rate! They did challenge us to think outside the box regards to home warranties, future thinking and best practices during closing of the home. Every question came open insight, about pros and cons, why they would do it or not, and why. It was not an solid answer to force their judgment on us, but a chance for us to understand and make our own decisions. And whatever, we did, they helped along the way the process.

The process was not painless, but Ryan and Deborah helped ease the pain and the worries along the way. They showed us that our relationship is not purely a transactional one, and as buyers, we were very happy to work with them.

Till today, Ryan and Deborah after more than half a year since closing, still keep in touch with us in regards to the house and our lives. We are happy to call them our agents, and even now our friends. We would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase in the Valley!!
