Bought a home in 2013.
Alex was extremely helpful throughout our search for a home. As first time home buyers we relied on his knowledge and expertise of the home buying process from the beginning of our search all the way to closing. Being new to the area we needed some help finding the right neighborhood for us. Alex listened to what we wanted and found a great home in a location we love. We were not familiar with any real estate agents here and found Alex on Google. It couldn't have worked out any better. He was always reachable and made it feel like we were his only clients. We highly recommend Alex.

Upon meeting Alex at the showing, he began to provide the information essential for buying a home. Throughout the purchase he was always a step ahead, advising me on the various issues, details regarding the home itself, financing, and the general flow of things which can be time-consuming otherwise.
I purchased a home I am enormously happy with and he saved me time and money doing it.

Sold a Condo home in 2012 for approximately $175K in Dunes, Albany, NY.
Alex is very reliable, honest, and always available to respond to phone calls, emails, and texts day or night, weekday or weekend. I never felt pressured and he had a lot of patience with me. He is someone you will enjoy working with.

As a foreigner, it is of course a big challenge to purchase a house in the US as there are many obstacles and uncertainty that keep us from making a good decision. Especially, finding a house that is perfect for my family is the most difficult task since we Koreans lack local real estate knowledge. That is why we need a very smart, proactive and faithful realtor to help us out. But most Koreans (well not all) like to get a super fast feedback on their inquires, especially if those inquires are related to the real estate. I would like to suggest Alexander Monticello as the key realtor who can work for the internationally relocated (Korean) families. Alexander is fast in searching properties and giving real-time feedback, he shares reports of a specific properties, he answers whenever we need him, works on weekends (and weekdays as well), able to facilitate the process by using internet-based inventory search and automatic notification when new property pops up, is well equipped with financial and legal knowledge regarding real-estate and also does not hesitate to advise any potential risks and provide us with many Korean community-related informations! I really cannot list the whole merit that Alexander has and I just want others to know that the biggest stress lies upon us, apart from everything, is getting a good house with a faithful, trust-worthy realtor, and I strongly recommend Alexander Monticello.

Alex came recommended by mutual friends and I reached out to him as a first time home buyer with little knowledge of the housing marketplace. Alex put me in contact with a pre-qual loan officer, set up numerous appointments for house showings to get a better idea of what type of home and what location best suited me and was very prompt and responsive in communicating and updating me with any new information. I found him knowledgable of both Capital District neighborhoods (especially Albany) and any potential property issues - whether structural or bank-related. I am glad he was recommended to me and look forward to working with Alex again in the future.

As a first time home buyer, it was slightly intimidating getting into the real estate market. After looking at Alex’s website, I gained a good overview of what to expect in the process of buying a home. After speaking with Alex, I felt even more comfortable in going ahead in my search. I let Alex know what I was looking for and ended up putting in an offer on one of the first three condos Alex showed me. Alex is very personable as well as knowledgeable about the capital district real estate market. His recommendations for an attorney and mortgage broker were exceptional as well. Having Alex walk me through the each step made the process of buying my first home a relatively stress free and easy process.

Excellent agent. Really paid attention to what we were looking for in a house and showed us only houses that met out criteria. He devoted a ton of time on the weekends to show us literally dozens of homes. Nuts and bolts he is the most patient real estate agent I've ever worked with. When we finally found the right house he was fantastic during the negotiation process.
As far as real estate agents go, Alex will give you the professionalism and devotion that you will not find from one of the "big box stores." He offers personalized service at every single stage of the process. All that and his website is FAR easier to navigate and use than the others.

Alex is one of the best realtors I have ever worked with. He makes best effort to find properties that are best to meet my needs rather than for his own profit. When I contacted a number of realtors after an online search, Alex was the first to respond, with thoughtful and specific questions to better understand what I really wanted. I was immediately impressed. When I had questions about a particular property, his response was always prompt, well-thought, and beyond expectation. For example, when I had an inquiry about window A/C, he would not only answer the question but also recommend an A/C unit that could best suit the purpose. I found him highly experienced, trustworthy, and responsive, day and night, by phone or email. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Alex to anyone who needs a realtor in Capital District.
