Ratings & Reviews

I couldn't have had a better experience buying my very first home. Amy was patient with me as she walked me through each step and prepared me for what the process would be like. She went out of her way many times to show me properties and took the time to answer all my questions. Amy is professional, knowledgable, and shows she cares about her clients. I highly recommend using Amy Gapastione as a realtor and look forward to working with her again in the future!

Sold a home in 2013 in Western Springs, IL 60558.

In 2013, we moved from Lakeview to the western suburbs and Amy represented us for both the sale of our old townhouse and the purchase of our new house. We couldn't have been happier with how she represented us and we would highly recommend her to anyone in the area looking for a real estate agent.

We first met Amy in 2009 when we were looking at townhouses on the northside of Chicago. We were using Redfin to buy our house, but we came across Amy as a seller's agent on two separate homes we looked at. While we didn't end up buying either of the two townhouses she was listing, Amy left enough of a favorable impression on us that when it came time to sell our place in 2013, we reached out to her regarding a potential listing of our property. While we were mostly happy with our buying experience with Redfin, we felt their sell side services were not nearly as desirable. So we met with both Amy and another listing agent we had encountered in our first buying experience. While both prospective agents seemed very knowledgeable, we could tell Amy was genuinely excited about listing our house and how much she thought we could get for it. This actually was the exact opposite of our meeting with the second potential agent, who spent most of our time meeting with her explaining all the research she had done to price our house at a listing price that was more than 10% below what Amy wanted to list it at. Now obviously, anyone can promise a higher listing price to gain a listing, but it's pretty pointless unless you can actually sell the house. In this regard, Amy delivered. Not only did she sell our house at the aggressive price we had hoped for, but she did it almost immediately. In addition, she helped us through all stages of the process from our initial prepping of the house, to the negotiation with the buyer, on through all the details of closing. There were no surprises and everything went smoothly.

Things went so well during our buying process with Amy, that while we had originally planned on selling with an agent, and then buying our new house with Redfin again, we changed our minds and used Amy to buy our new house as well. Amy was great through the entire process and couldn't have been more patient with us during our search. Amy had convinced us to sell our townhouse with a rent back agreement, so we had the luxury of having a few months after we closed our sale to search for our new house without having to move. It also meant when we did find a place, we could place an offer on it without any sale contingencies. We ended up finding a placed that we loved, but it became clear that it was priced extremely aggressively. Within the first three days it was listed, it actually received three offers including one from us. We were told that all three offers came in over the list price, but we ended up getting the house for a price that we were more than happy with. Those three days between first seeing the listing come online, through the negotiations with the sellers, were extremely hectic, but Amy was on top of everything. From there, the rest of the purchase process went smoothly and we couldn't be happier in our new home.

As soon as we saw that Amy had a profile on zillow, we knew we wanted to write about our experiences with her. We have nothing but praise for the work she did, and we would give her the highest recommendation we possibly could.

Bought a Multi Family home in 2013 for approximately $500K in Ravenswood, Chicago, IL.

Amy is a top real estate agent in Chicago. My wife and I were looking to move to a larger home and were referred to Amy Gapastione. Amy sat down with us and we went through our options. After numerous discussions and analysis we determined that we were interested in purchasing a new flat in the Lincoln square/lakeview area (specifically a gut rehab). The real estate market was extremely active at this point so this wasn't an easy task . Amy was influential in providing us numerous options, offering extensive insight on each property, and finding the best purchase for our family. After an extensive search Amy found us an amazing building that needed a lot of work but was just what we were looking for. Additionally, she was great at negotiating with the seller to get us the best price possible. After we purchased the home and completed the rehab, we refinanced our property and had a new appraisal. Within five months are property value went up by over 300k! We were so lucky to have Amy guide us throughout the process and provide us an amazing home/rental property! I can't emphasize enough how incredible Amy is to work with both financially and personally. I highly recommend Amy for your home buyer needs! Thank you Amy! You have a customer for life!

Sold a home in 2013 in Willow Springs, IL 60527.

Before my wife and I hired Amy our house was listed for 2 1/2 months and we didn't have a lot of activity. So we decided to leave are realtor and sign on with Amy. Well within 4 days we had a contact on our townhouse and were starting to look for a single family home. We ended up finding a short sale that we new would be a nightmare to close but with the resilience and dedication of Amy we found a way to close the deal to our dream house. Without Amy's hard work there's no way we could have sold or house and moved into a new house within 4 months.
