Bought a Multiple Occupancy home in 2013 for approximately $500K in North Central, Pasadena, CA.
One of the best and helpful couple as agents. We had a few real estate agents before
Art and Maryann, but we were not satisfied with their services. As soon as we got the
service of this couple, we were very impressed. They are always polite,
accommodating, friendly, response quickly and most specially work on our schedules.
Art is very knowledgeable. He always think what is best for us, mention
on the dot if the property he is showing is satisfactory and meets the standard. He will
never recommend a house that you will have a problem in the future.
This couple are very professional. My daughter, husband and I will highly
recommend them. We were lucky we chose them.
thWe were lucky to have them.
Art is a very mediocre agent. On occasion after occasion I had to stop him from making mistakes and/or think through the problems we were having with the sellers and then get him back on track - and even then he bungled it. Minor complications stopped him cold and his ability to establish a credible relationship with the listing agent made all stages iffy. We submitted offers on two homes through Art, one of which was an ideal house, and lost both because we followed Art’s poor advice. He does not seem to recognize what a competitive environment the under $500K segment of the market is, and actually advised us to submit lower offers than what we were willing to pay. Regarding his responsiveness, in the days right before we were supposed to have our offer accepted - obviously a critical time for all - there was a price drop on the house. This caused considerable confusion as we had already made a higher offer that we had been told was going to be accepted. During this time Art was simply “gone” for around 36 hours with no communication at all. Not even his secretary had news to pass on so we were in the dark on the supposed eve of our purchase. So no, in the home stretch when it is very important to keep channels open, Art was not responsive to our communications - let alone on the job. After that he proceeded to make even more mistakes, lost the entire deal, and was fired.
In this market you need an agent that performs well the first time around as second chances are rare, and that is just not Art. He’s a nice guy but that only keeps you from dumping him sooner. So be warned; use Art at your own risk.
One of the most helpful couple. Art was very knowledgeable about the area and he was there when I had any questions. He was responsive and kind to all the questions I had for him...He showed us several properties and different price ranges which was very helpful.
Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $475K in Newhall, Newhall, CA.
My husband and I couldn’t be happier with Maryann and Art. I contacted quite a few real estate agents to get started and Maryann was the first to respond. Maryann is incredibly friendly, polite, and accommodating. She worked around our schedules. She was knowledgeable about the houses and neighborhoods we visited and was always prepared before taking us out house hunting. She answered questions and offered her judgment, but we never felt pressured. Maryann understood what a big decision buying a house was for us. I never felt any hesitation to ask her questions or to look at a house that was out of the way or not on our list of houses to see. On top of being an exceptional real estate agent, I actually had a lot of fun spending time with Maryann during our house searches. She’s a great person to be around!
Maryann and Art make a great team. Art was able to provide cost estimates for potential fixes or remodels to give us an idea of the real cost of a house. Art would take us out house hunting on short notice if Maryann was unavailable. When it was time to make offers, Maryann and Art were willing to drive anywhere to meet us to explain the papers and make things as easy as possible for my husband and me. Both of them were helpful and adamant that we call with ANY questions or concerns.
They found the perfect house for us! It has everything on our must-haves list: good schools, private backyard, quiet neighborhood, good character but updated, within budget. My husband and I have no family in Los Angeles, but Maryann made it clear that we were not alone. Even after the house was sold, Maryann continues to check in on us to make sure everything is going smoothly and has offered to help us through renovations if we need it. Maryann and Art are a special team and we are happy to have had the pleasure of working with them.
Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $475K in Canyon Country, Santa Clarita, CA.
Art and Maryann are wonderful. We were so happy with the results they were able to obtain for us. We would have never made it throught the short sale without their guidance and expertise! I would recommend them over and over again.
Art and Maryann are a wonder. They worked soooooooooo hard to make sure I got the home I wanted., They were available up to 10pm, whenever I called. They showed me alot of houses until I found the one I wanted and then they went to work to make sure I got it. They are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!! Call them.....I know my friends and family will.
