do NOT use this real estate agent. She is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in my life. Angela set up an appointment with me to show an apartment in astoria and completely stood me up without calling and just completely went dark. After calling into her office, her assistant said that she did not have any appointments scheduled because "the apartment already had an accepted offer". Below i am writing word for word the text messages from the same day. Screenshot of the conversations are also available to anyone who questions this situation.
11/19/2014 Me (9:32am) - Hi, are you still good to show me the apt at 5:45 pm today? This is Bryant Angela Kontis (10:23am) - I am sorry tenant can not do 5:45 only 5:30. We currently have accepted offer but we are still showing. Me (10:24am) - ok 5:30 then. is the offer all cash? Angela Kontis (10:23am) - see u 5:30 Me (5:27pm) - I am here (3 calls between 5:27 to 5:34 go unanswered) I call into Realty Executives where i speak with Angela's assistant and she informs me that Angela has no appointments at 5:30 and that the apt has offer accepted and no longer showing. Assistant has no idea why Angela would make an appointment AND confirm an appointment for 5:30.
UNPROFESSIONAL, DO NOT USE.
***REPLY TO RESPONSE*** Angela, that is a very interesting reply because when you called me to "apologize" ... you stated that the reason you missed the appointment was because of an "emergency". The fact that you are trying to blame it on an "error" multiple times to try and gain back you credibility is beyond hilarious as you told me a completely different story.
Granted, if anyone were to give you the benefit of the doubt (which i am by no means in this situation)... lets see how that plays out during an "error appointment"
You confirmed an appointment the DAY OF for 5:30 pm, dont show up, dont return phone call or messages and finally call at 1 pm the NEXT DAY.... for a so called "error" .. it really takes you that long to respond to multiple calls? hard to believe.
For someone who has quote "been in the industry for 27 years" i refuse to believe that you would not check your phone between the hours of 5:30 pm to 1pm THE NEXT DAY...."for an error". With that being said, it makes it more obnoxious that even your assistant was dumbfounded as to why you would make an appointment for an apartment that you told her was "offer accepted and closed, and an appointment at 12pm the same day was cancelled because of it".
For anyone who is about to make a very big investment and/or purchase/buy in your life, is it really worth it to choose someone like this to help with that? good luck if you say yes.
Hi Bryant Yu- I was arranging this showing on behalf of your broker as a favor as she was on vacation. I honestly made a scheduling error and have apologized to you for doing so. Having been a Realtor for 27 years, mistakes do happen from time to time. I called you after this incident and offered you an opportunity to see the property at another time. It’s unfortunate that you were inconvenienced however obviously one scheduling error on my behalf certainly doesn’t represent the body of my career. People do make mistakes. Good luck. Angela Kontis
