The Art of a Successful Journey
Entering the United States Marine Corps as a private, Art steadily advanced and retired as a Major in 1979. His 25 years in the USMC taught him that service to your "client" is of the utmost importance, and that you don't quit until the job is done.
Upon retiring in 1979, Art Furtney became a REALTOR® with the Century 21 Organization and again steadily advanced to become one of the premier agents not just in North Carolina, but in the entire Century 21 Organization world-wide. A few of his many accolades include:
- #1 Individual Producer for all Century 21 offices in Onslow County from 1980-1999. In 2000, Art formed a team and has been in the top team in Onslow County since its formation.
- Top Residential Listing Agent for all Century 21 offices in Onslow County since 1980
- Top Producing Team for all Century 21 offices in North Carolina since 2000.
- Century 21's International Hall of Fame-Inducted in 1992 in San Francisco.
Art Furtney has traveled throughout the world courtesy of the USMC and has gained world-wide recognition through his affiliation with Century 21. However if asked his greatest accomplishment, he will always say his family! Art has been married to Pam, who coincidently is broker/owner of Century 21 Champion Real Estate, since 1983. He has three children, two of which have followed in his "real estate" footsteps, and 3 beautiful grandchildren.
He not only lives in Onslow County, but is an active member of the community. He is a long-time member of Infant of Prague Catholic Church, although you will only see him at Saturday evening MASS in the summer, because Art is an avid fisherman! If the sun is shining Sunday morning, you will always find Art out on the boat.
