In the San Francisco Bay Area, there are many different markets going on all in adjacent cities. While some areas geographically are full of short sales, foreclosures and auctions, other areas where county border lines touch, homes have held or even gone up in value. The market is like none other I've experienced in 22 years, but it shows signs of picking up slowly and sporadically overall. Buyers need to buy right now, and sellers agents need to have marketing savvy and get seller to be realistic.
