Both were within my budget at the time and suited me very well for the stage of life I was in at the time (pre and post family). The home sale was a little more rocky but that was due to the buyers financing issues along with the lending climate, which we had no control over. In the end it all worked out. We sold when we needed to, got a fair price and Tom handled the issues that came up, as they will inevitably, very well.
Tom was extremely patient, knowledgeable and thorough while I figured out which city was the right one to reside in. In both cases multiple cities were being considered and Tom was helpful asking the right questions to help the decision along. In the beginning he gently guided my expectations in terms of my budget and the market, which was needed especially for a green buyer. It’s clear he has a lot of experience. I also appreciated the fact that he was upfront and honest with me, when you are trying to buy a home it’s no time to beat around the bush or play games. He really listened to what I needed and what I wanted, and showed many, many, many options (I was lucky he was so good natured!).
Looking back I actually enjoyed my time house hunting, and Tom was a big reason. I felt comfortable, knew I was in good hands and was never rushed, whether buying or selling. I’m sure you will feel the same way too.
