I claimed my house, now why can't I remove the photos?

Answer
Pictures of your home are fed from outside sources such as the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) or by a Listing Agent through Zillow directly.  The person who listed the photos is the only one who can remove them.  Am I save to assume you are the Home Owner?  If yes then you most likely are not the source of the photos.  You would have to contact the source and have them remove the photos.Hope this helps!Ray

I have seen a house on zillow that I like very much but it is in pre forclosure. How do I proceed?

Answer
Zillow is able to access public records to see which homes might be in the court systems as a foreclosure.  Some of these homes are on the market for sale and some are not.  If you get me the address I can see if it is on the market and/or what stage of the foreclosure they are in.  I have done many short sales/pre foreclosure deals and do understand the process.  Search me on Zillow and you will find my contact info and some of my past clients reviews.Ray Poppe

regarding rentals

Answer
I do have a one bedroom rental coming on the market by the end of the week. It will be a little higher in rent because it will include the use of a garage. If you are interested in more information just let me know. Ray

How do I list my home for sale on Zillow

Answer
Are you trying to sell the home on your own?  If yes you can click on the tab Homes and then click on For Sale by Owner.  You can then enter the information on your home.Ray

Basement was finished by previous owner and we found it was not done to code.

Answer
I would suggest you speak with the attorney that represented you when you purchased the home to see if you have any recourse.

I need to adjust the sq footage of my house as well as bedrooms how do I do this?

Answer
All the information that is supplied to Zillow comes from Public Records. There is a possibility that the information on your home is incorrect at Town Hall. You should also keep in mind that the square footage that is listed will only include the main living areas and not a finished basement. Finished basements do not have the same value as the above ground living area. If the square footage and additional bedroom are in the basement this is most likely the reason it is not posted.

need Zestimate for 3bed/2.5 bath in danburyWoodland Hills. Fenton Model. all wood floors and granite

Answer
Usually a Zestimate comes up on zillow when a home is put on the market. If you are looking for the value of your Townhome I would be more than happy to do a Market Analysis for you. I am very familiar with Woodland Hills. You can email me at [E-mail deleted by Zillow moderator. Please refer to our Good Neighbor Policy] or get my contact info from my profile here on Zillow. Ray

How can I get details added to my property profile on zillow that may reflect a more accurate value?

Answer
If a property is listed for sale the listing agent can enter the different features of the home.  If your home is just on Zillow the information used is typically taken off the Town Records.  It is possible that your Town does not have the features you mentioned listed.  Items such as a Garage should be listed unless you recently built them. Not sure how much help it is but I hope the info is of some value.Ray

Still trying to get town corrected to Cornwall Bridge, CT NOT WARREN, CT. Asked years ago !!!!

Answer
Hello Linann,When it comes to homes that are not for sale on Zillow all the information is taken from the Town Hall Records.  Most likely your home is considered in Warren according to those records.  To get this changed you would need to have your Town change them.Sorry we can't solve this problem for you.Ray
