Sold a Condo home in 2012 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Cathy recently sold my home for more than I ever expected. It was a totally painless process and I relied on her expertise every step of the way. Her knowledge of the market, negotiating skills, recommendations for service providers locally is just amazing. Selling and buying homes (which I have done over the years) can sometimes be a difficult and even emotional experience but working with Cathy was a very pleasureable and profitable experience. I will recommend her to everyone knowing that they will have a great experience with Cathy. A extra special benefit is the frienship formed

Sold a home in 2010.

Cathy W was wonderful to work with! As a first time seller, she took the time to listen to me, understand my objective and any concerns I had. She offered valuable suggestions and advice to make my home more appealing to a larger number of buyers, which I believe greatly increased the number of viewings I had. Because of her extensive experience in the area, she was also able to help me find the perfect new home, and negotiate a very attractive deal for me. I would highly recommend Cathy to anyone who is looking to buy or sell a home, and particularly to those who are new to the area. Pittsburgh has many different neighborhoods that have vastly different vibes so it's important to work with someone who is familiar with the different areas knows what their buyer is looking for in order to make a perfect match. Cathy knows Pittsburgh inside and out!

Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $250K in Wexford, PA.

Working with Cathy was great! She was very knowledgeable about real estate in the areas that my fiancee and I were looking at. Cathy takes allot of pride in what she does and she definitely shows it! She is truly a 24x7 real estate agent! Her response time, either by phone or email, was awesome! She answered any and all questions that we had and made us feel completely comfortable throughout the entire house buying process.

Also, Cathy has a great network! She referred multiple contractors & stores for upgrading and decorating our new home!

We would recommend Cathy to anyone who is looking to sell or to buy a new home!

Thanks! Stephanie & Sean Kilpatrick

Sold a Single Family home in 2012 in Sewickley, PA.

Cathy is very knowledgable about the Pittsburgh market and has always been fully dedicated to helping us buy or sell a property whenever we've needed her. She is responsive and helpful, and works equally hard on large or small deals (and we've done both with Cathy). We've worked with Cathy several times from 2006 through this year, and I can't recommend her highly enough - she's truly the best agent I've worked with.

Showed home in 2006 in Pittsburgh, PA.

I've worked with many realtors over the years and Cathy is a decent realtor. I worked with her on a recommendation from a friend, and she was very good about scheduling and showing the houses I wanted to see, and recommending others I may not have originally looked at, and she was quite friendly. In one case I had questions she didn't have information to answer so she flagged down a neighbor to question them about the HOA fees & association to answer my questions right then and there.

I did make an offer on a house through her, but wasn't happy with how the process played out.

We worked together to come up with an offer price based on the listing price, the fact that the house was vacant, needed some work, and that it'd been on the market for well over a year. We offered 91% of the list price, which she suggested was a reasonable initial offer. She said often if the house is listed this long the seller is willing to jump at an offer just to move it so they can stop paying the mortgage month after month when they no longer live there. The next day she called to tell me the seller refused the offer and did not want to negotiate. I was very confused. Again as a first time buyer, I thought the process was that we go back and forth a few times until we reach a middle ground. I asked why we couldn't negotiate further and she told me that I "lowballed them" on the offer and they "refused" to negotiate with me further because the offer offended them. I was taken aback by how she seemed to blame me for the amount of the offer and took no responsibility for the fact that we worked on this together and I used her advice and expertise to come to that offer amount. The whole process was so aggravating that I stopped looking for houses for over 6 months. I opted to use another realtor on my next search, which ended up going a lot smoother.

Unfortunately I do not recall having such a transaction with you 6 years ago. However, if you are telling the truth, I would like to apologize. I am very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the way I handled the sellers response to us when we made the offer in 2006. It is difficult to know how sellers will respond especially when you don't know them personally. I take my real estate career very seriously and I try to work hard to make everyone happy. I realize that this is not always possible. I will try to be a better communicator in the future. I am glad you were able to have some other positive real estate experiences. Cathy W.
