Clarence assisted me in my search for a home after I moved to Minnesota for work. I highly recommend him to potential buyers not only due to his expertise in the market area and real estate as a whole, but also because he works tirelessly to facilitate a smooth transaction and advocate for his buyer. Starting from the search and continuing through to the negotiation process, I felt that Clarence was an invaluable resource, providing me with more information, support, and educated advice than I could have ever obtained on my own.
I appreciated his knowledge during our preliminary search, but I was unequivocally impressed with his sharp eye for detail once we started looking at houses. He is meticulously observant, and his many years of home construction, handyman and remodeling experience provide him with the critical viewpoint that I needed as a buyer- especially a first-time home buyer. He immediately noticed and pointed out minute details that I would have easily missed (well-covered evidence of an old fire, old water spots, sloppy renovation, proximity to train tracks), some of which were decisive in my strategy as a buyer.
I needed extra guidance not only in determining an appropriate location and honing my priorities, but also in the negotiation process with the mortgage company and sellers. Clarence both helped me develop a strategy and served as a much-needed buffer between me and the other parties, and it was very reassuring to feel that I had an expert protecting my interests. Unfortunately, I was transferred out of state before completing a purchase, but he referred me to a superb realtor in the new state and continued to provide me with prompt responses and advice- often after hours!- even when he was no longer representing me.
After having Clarence assist me in buying my first home, I can't imagine ever buying a home without being represented by a realtor. He is truly top notch, and I highly recommend him.
P.S. Ask him to see photos of his kids- they are adorable.
