I don't even know where to begin. I can't thank you enough for EVERYTHING you have done. I knew going into it that this was going to be a bittersweet experience all around for me personally. I can honestly say that this was not even remotely as stressful, confusing, or burdening as I thought it was going to be (well, maybe except for a few hours Thursday night into the wee hours of Friday morning!) It is without a doubt because of you guys that I was able to keep a positive attitude and a smile on my face throughout the entire process. From Day 1 at our first meeting with Chuck, and my subsequent dealings with all of you thereafter, you always made me feel important. No communication was ever rushed or left me feeling like I was a bother. Your guidance and precise attention to details were magnificent. Your reassurance and sense of humor were a breath of fresh air and definitely appreciated at those "special" times. I honestly already miss hearing from you guys every day :-) I don't have an exact plan of action yet, but I would like to purchase something for myself in the somewhat near future. When I'm at that point, you guys will be the first to know! I would LOVE to work with you again, if you'd have me. Chuck impressed my wife and I from the start. We started by selling our condo with him and then buying a house. Without even officially signing with Chuck, he did a complete walkthrough and recommendations on how to improve the house for an open house. He sat with us for 2 hours discussing our selling strategy and what we wanted for our next house. From the large things like negotiating final and best rounds to the small things like providing access for a plumber while we were traveling, Chuck and his team were top notch and provided a level of service that constantly impressed us. We don't plan to ever use another real estate agent again.
Sold a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $475K in North Cambridge, Cambridge, MA.
Chuck Silverston represented me as the sellers agent. I was eager to sell my condo in Cambridge and I had no idea what the market would command in terms of price and interest. Chuck told me that there was a lot interest in Cambridge and that he predicted that I would most likely get my asking price and more. Not only that, he expected that there would be a lot of interest even over the 4th of July weekend. He made some recommendations regarding the staging of my condo which I followed. Within a week he had a photographer come in who did an amazing job and put together a rather impressive set of photos. The same day day the photos were done the condo went on the market. Chuck told me there was a lot of interest and that he expected a good turnout for the open house. Over one hundred people came to the open house. Within two days of the open house I had 9 offers. I got significantly more than my asking price. Chuck was amazing handling these negotiations and offered excellent comments regarding the pros and cons of the offers.
Chuck also helped me with a roommate issue and gave me excellent advice all the way. He also works with an equally worthy group of lawyers and this facilitated the entire process.
I supremely recommend Chuck Silverston as a realtor for his communication skills, knowledge of the market and the real estate industry as well as his professionalism. Beside that, he is really a nice guy to work with and is very responsive to all forms of communication.

Simply put, I could not be happier with the job Chuck and his team did for me and my family. They made what is a extremely stressful situation easy. I always felt like I had a partner in the process. No matter how annoying my questions may have been, Chuck would take the time to go over everything that was taking place. I always knew what the next step was going to be, how we were going to get to our final goal, and I always felt comfortable with what was taking place. There was a plan in place that was executed to the letter. I highly, HIGHLY, recommend using Chuck.
We only ever had used a listing agent twice during our homeownership and the two experiences stand in stark contrast to one another. Our first experience was not without merit but in the market that we sold in the service did not stand-out as remarkable or requiring much effort. Our second sale, using Chuck, was a case-study in what a great broker can really do for you if things aren't exactly simple or smooth.
First, his initial presentation to us was comprehensive and a serious analysis of our market while also being a realistic means to manage our expectations. We felt there would not be any surprises on his end and the personal documentation he provided up-front made us feel well-informed and supported by his team.
Second, his communication and availability is AAA+. I can't think of a more important characteristic I would desire in someone engineering the biggest transaction of our lives. I felt comfortable calling or emailing the second I had a question or concern and if he wasn't picking-up the line he got back to me in a timely manner. I simply can't say that about most client oriented service I experience.
Third, when things got a little stressful with the various pitfalls that these kinds of deals present from time to time Chuck was there to explain and defuse any and all of our concerns. He was an ice cold rock without seeming impersonal or detached.
Finally, he has surrounded himself with an experienced support personnel that covered all our needs ranging from managing town inspections down to financial administration. I was fairly well-prepared for our sale and ready to move quickly and as a result of a smooth and well-thought process his team did not miss a beat. They all managed to educate us in some way- even for the next time we are buyers.
In Brookline and Newton I just can't see myself wanting to list with any other broker and I easily imagine he's great as a buyer's broker too.
