    My first visit to Delaware County was over 25 years ago...and it was love at first sight!  Working as a top marketing executive in New York, I found the beauty and seclusion of this area a welcome relief to my hectic and demanding schedule of Manhattan, and almost immediately set up "roots" in the lovely and quaint hamlet of Bovina.

    After 25 years of traveling back and forth, I decided to switch my full time residency to my home here in the Catskills. In 2000, I acquired my NY State Real Estate License and have since achieved measurable success by combining my "corporate" talents of: outstanding service, detailed follow thru and a high level of commitment.

    Sold a home in 2014.

    Carol Spinelli is a matchmaker extraordinaire; connecting people with properties, passionately and professionally. We listed our home for sale with her and accepted an asking price offer within a month. We are happy... and our buyers are too!     Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $575K in Bovina Center, NY.

    We found a Bovina property online that Carol Spinelli, of Coldwell Banker Timberland Properties, had recently begun to represent. We saw the property on the same day and loved it and decided move ahead with an offer on the Bovina property that my wife and I simply (and affectionately) referred to as “The Barn”.

    The house was substantially “more house” than before and with that came an understandably higher price tag, but we loved it and were committed to purchase it. So moves were made. We were “pre-approved” by a bank in the city and felt comfortable to submit our offer, which again with Carol’s guidance and intuition, was accepted by the sellers.

    We were thrilled. And on Carol’s recommendation, we contacted the sellers to thank them for accepting our offer. They too were thrilled, not just because they had sold the house, but because Carol had sold us to them. They were just happy that the house they had put so much time and effort into building, was going to people who loved it as much as they did.

    Things began to move quickly and we were desperate to be in as soon as possible, until we had a horrendous call from our downstate mortgage broker, “Look guys, this house is not for you, it’s overpriced and I know I said you were pre-approved and all that, but we’re not going to be able to do this thing – you should just move-on and go for something cheaper”. We were dumbfounded. We called Carol to tell her the terrible news. Carol immediately recommended three local banks for us to speak with. Each offered an immediate response and amazing personal service. Within 24 hours, we were pre-approved with ULSTER SAVINGS and given an estimated closing date.

    We moved in on the 23rd of December, just in time to spend our end of year holidays in the house of our dreams, The Barn.

    I’m now proud to say that Carol and her husband David, are not only now our new neighbors in Bovina, but trusted friends - long term, I’ll add.

    Sold a home in 2013.

    Carol Spinelli doesn’t just connect the right people to the right properties. She connects the right people to the right people!

    We were in a unique situation, where we had ‘casually’ seen a Bovina property online that Carol Spinelli, of Coldwell Banker Timberland Properties, had recently begun to represent. We saw the property on the same day and loved it! When Carol asked if we’d like to make an offer, I explained that we had placed our Roxbury home on the market about a year ago, then, had decided to take it off due to no interest, but if she could sell it, we’d be more than happy to make an offer on the property. The next week she came to see our (much smaller) house and could immediately see the care, attention and thought that had gone into the space/renovations. She also saw a unique marketing opportunity that had not been explored in the previous attempts to sell our house – that my wife and I are high-end clothing designers. Within a week, a professional photographer had been commissioned and the listing had been posted with the headline “Designer DWELLing”, a clever reference to the highly visible DWELL magazine that was such a strong influence on the aesthetic of our home. The listing looked and read perfectly, no detail or selling advantage had been missed out. In what was still considered a “slow market” Carol presented not one, but two offers, one of which was “full-asking price”, within an incredible 9 days!

    The couple that bought the house, loved it so much, that we have now become friends, just as Carol expected when she met them.
