Sold a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $300K in Newburyport, MA.
Cynthia Wootan proved to be an exceptional real estate professional who was instrumental in selling our Newburyport condo. Our condo was the top
floor of a beautiful 1858 Federal, making it a somewhat "unique" property given
its location. She assured us from the beginning that the REMAX marketing would
be top shelf ...and it was. She assured us from the beginning that she would get us
the most money for our condo...and she did.
I had previously interviewed two other local real estate agents who found "everything wrong" with our condo. They also insisted on a selling price that was $22,000.00. LESS than we sold for. (Can you guess why?)
If you and yours are looking for a truly positive, business and market savvy agent,

Please read this review. I don't often give 5 star reviews—to people, places, events, etc. But on this occasion, for Cindy Wootan, it is absolutely merited. The short of it is that Cindy knows real estate better than most. She is tapped into the area, having been a resident for some time herself; into the market, having worked as a RE agent for decades; and into human beings, as she is smart, intuitive, and fundamentally a good and trustworthy person.
We first came to meet Cindy when my husband and I relocated to Newburyport. We had lived in the area some years prior, and had previously owned homes. This said our past experience of buying and selling was not great. My husband was admittedly a skeptic of everything, everyone, and all aspects of the process full stop. Cindy understood this and worked accordingly, not only finding us the “right” home, but also helping us get into it. Three years later we had to move for business. There was truly no one else we would consider listing our home with. And again Cindy worked diligently on our behalf, exceeding all expectations at every point in the process.
Cindy has represented us as both buyers and sellers with an unparalleled level of professionalism. She also helped us navigate some pretty rough terrain throughout both of these RE processes, without which we would have been lost. If you are considering listing your house or purchasing one, do yourself a favor and speak with Cindy. Unlike other agents, she won’t merely broker a deal. She’ll make sure it’s the right deal for you and/or your family. I recommend her without reservation. Believe me when I say you will be in very, very capable hands with Cindy Wootan.
We have worked with Cindy on a total of five transactions on properties in Newburyport. We highly recommend Cindy for her courteous, businesslike manner and her determination to find us what we were looking for. We had specific needs and there were not that many properties in N'port that met the requirements. Cindy did the research, answered our questions straightforwardly and handled our (expected) anxieties with grace. Her advice on negotiations was balanced and honest and to top it off, she's fun to work with. Highly Recommended.
Bought a Single Family home in 2001 for approximately $500K in Newburyport, MA.
I've purchased and sold four homes and Cindy is by far the best and most knowledgable and skilled agent I've ever done business with. I have recommended her to countless people who still thank me for the referral. She is a smart negotiator, who never gets flustered. She understands what her client wants and needs and is laser focused on getting the job done. There may be other agents that sell themselves as top agents in the Newburyport area but Cindy is the best, hands down. I highly recommend her for any purchase or sale in Newburyport or the surrounding communiities.

I want to first start out by saying we were not sure exactly where we wanted to live. We initially worked with two different realtors, both with very different personalities. One didn't seem too motivated and sent us listings similar to ones we had already dismissed. It was as if he didn't "get" what we were searching for. We next walked into a real estate office and met with our next agent. At first, we thought it was a good match, yet he insisted on showing us properties that were clearly out of our reach. He was good at what he did and clearly very successful, yet it was frustrating to be shown houses we wished we could afford, but riding around in his new BMW was more the highlight.
Then we changed our location search to the Newburyport area. We blindly walked into an open house and met Cindy. There was instant chemistry. She diligently worked with us for over 2 years. Her knowledge of the market, the area, combined with her warm and up front manner made the complete package for our perfect realtor. She was quick to point out the pros and cons of each property and knew when to step away or distract the listing agent, in order for us to discuss privately amongst ourselves. Cindy's patience and determination and positive spin kept us going until that perfect house dropped into our laps. She assisted us through the entire closing process. We will ask Cindy to assist us with our future real estate endeavors.
People have a choice when it comes to picking a realtor, which explains why there are so many different realtors, each with their own style, approach, and personality. It is important to find the right mix. We highly recommend Cindy Wootan. You tell her your needs and she'll get the job done.
