Shopping for real estate in San Francisco can be very difficult, and the right agent really makes a big difference in your success.
We really liked how plugged-in Danielle was, as the technology made the entire process so much easier for us. We appreciated how quickly she responded to inquiries. During the search, we were provided with an account to access the listings online which provided much more information than the other free sites.
Danielle gives you sound advice when placing a bid. She sets proper expectations regarding what you should expect. The DocuSign service that they used allowed us to sign documents online rather than having to go to an office in person. Her experience allowed us to maximize a large credit we got towards closing.

We'd been in touch with Danielle for several years and through our conversations and materials she sent us it was clear she was an expert on the Noe Valley market. With the market being so hot and our tenants moving out in November, we knew we had an opportunity to do well but were unsure of exactly how things would go considering we were listing mid-December.
The process was incredibly smooth. Danielle provided a clear list of recommendations to improve the property, was able to prioritize the work that was the most important and knew what would appeal to the SF buyer. She managed all of the work -- we only had to come in twice to look at the house before it was on the market , and since we live in Marin and have young kids, this was a huge bonus. She managed all the vendors, chose the finishes, and handled all issues that came up (as they always do). All of the work was wrapped up within 2-3 weeks and the house looked amazing. We did most of our work digitally, via email and text, which worked really well for us. All of the paperwork was handled through DocuSign, which is an incredibly easy to use and efficient platform where you can review and sign electronically. Danielle showed the property a few times and we had an offer the day after the first public open. It exceeded our expectations and we were thrilled with the results. It closed within 3 weeks, also a very smooth experience.

When we were selling our home I interviewed three different listing agents, all top of their game in Noe Valley. There were two things that really set Danielle apart - her volume of deals through the first half of the year was almost double that of the other top agents, and the way her properties showed (via MLS) was simply superior to the competition.
Turns out I made the right decision. We posted our condo on MLS Thursday night with a "pictured to come". By Friday morning (before the pictures were actually posted and two days BEFORE our first open house) we had an offer 23% over asking price. The buyer's agent knew that Danielle had a huge network and would drive significant traffic and multiple offers, so he accurately advised his clients that they would need to come with an exceptional offer.
While the staging, photos, and open houses would have dazzled I'm sure, ultimately success begets success which is why Danielle earns my five stars.

My name is Geoffrey, and I am a skeptic. OK, now that I got that out of the way, I have to say that when I read the reviews for Zephyr, and Danielle, I was suspicious. For the purpose of this review, I recently sold a 3 BR condo in SF. I have bought and sold 7-8 pieces of real-estate throughout my life and have never come across such a highly-regarded firm/realtor. Ultimately, I opted to give her a call as a few google searches indicated to me that she was not only a realtor, but a scholar of the market. I know that sounds a little overstated, but I have never met a realtor (or quite frankly many professionals in any field) who had such a profound understanding of their business. There was not one aspect of the transaction, the market conditions, the pricing, the sale, etc. that she was not well-versed in. Further, the property I was selling is 400 miles away from my current residence. I implored Danielle to make the it as easy on me as possible, as I cannot stand dealing with these types of transactions (e.g. everything is quiet, until it is very urgent, and then quiet again). Drives me friggen nuts actually. Anyhow, Danielle outlined EXACTLY what we needed to do, priced the unit PERFECTLY, and we ended up in a multi-offer situation inside of 10 day. I would not hesitate to work with her and/or Zephyr again. Don't waste your time on anyone else.

My husband and I bought our SF condo at the end of October in 2008 with the help of Danielle as our buying agent. It was the smoothest and fastest transaction we had ever done. So when it came time to sell our condo almost 4 years later we immediately reached out to Danielle. They (Danielle and her assistant Kristen) were super fast to setup time to come by and look at the place, answer our questions, and get a couple stagers to come by and offer opinions and quotes on how to partially stage the place.
While we had nothing but great things to say about Danielle from our buying experience we felt that selling was a little scarier (all of a sudden you're paying seller and buyer commissions!) and we were unsure about the list price she suggested for our condo as it seemed on the low side. Of course talking to family and friends from out of state they were completely shocked at such a low list price. We decided we should reach out to a couple more real estate agencies in the area. We ended up speaking to two different agents besides Danielle/Zephyr. In the end, this process only reinforced that Danielle is the best at what she does. It also confirmed her list price was right inline with the area. Danielle was confident we would get our goal selling price and genuinely cared about us as people and our situation. By choosing Danielle you don't just get one agent, you get two. Between Kristen and Danielle we were constantly kept in the loop about every stage of the selling process.
Our condo was only on the market for two weekends. Everything was well organized and the professional photos looked gorgeous. Danielle and Kristen listened to every nit-picky suggestion I had when it came to how to market our condo and appeal to buyers similar to ourselves. They never made me feel stupid for offering my opinion and allowed me to be as involved as I wanted to be. If I sent either of them an email I'd have a response within minutes. We ended up in the multiple offer situation and chose an offer that was $82k over asking!! Danielle is the top producer in her company for a reason, I am confident that her negotiation skills and professional demeanor was key to our success. We couldn't have been happier and I have a feeling that without Danielle and Kristen that number would have been a lot lower.
On a side note, we started the home buying process in our new city around the time that we accepted the offer on our condo. That process has been the complete opposite and only makes us appreciate how outstanding Danielle and team were. I just wish I could take Danielle with me wherever our future takes us to represent us as buyers and sellers of our many homes to come. I've enjoyed my rent-controlled apartment for nearly 19 years in the coveted Mission Dolores neighborhood. However, renting was beginning to lose its charm despite an enviable location. So despite the daunting numbers my financial adviser gave me year after year, I started to ask friends for references and read pages of Yelp reviews for agents who know the Mission. Down to a short list of three agents, I contacted Danielle and within the hour I received a callback (unexpected on a Friday evening mid-April) to discuss my needs; questions; and eventually, to set up a meeting.
My criteria was fairly limiting by most standards (move within 2-3 blocks with a low range) but Danielle and Tanya took on my search with the fair warning that it wasn't impossible, but could be difficult with such great rates and low inventory. Tanya quickly contacted me with an off-market unit that eventually fell through (things happen for a reason) but it gave me a taste of what to expect and how quickly everything moves.
I went to a total of 10 open houses and for the last and final one, Tanya was with me at the open house for almost two hours looking at the quality of the remodel and if there could be any foreseeable issues should this be the one. We made the offer and with several other bids in: she worked with me over the next few days, staying in contact with the seller's agent to get a counter offer in and keeping me posted enough to know we were in the running.
Throughout the process, Danielle checked in to encourage feedback and offered additional assistance and resources. Tanya ran with all the details keeping us ahead if not on target, while educating me, and towards the end, providing some therapy when I hit a few bumps with the process. I ended up with: a smaller association (bonus) and almost everything on my wish list--not at all what I was expecting.
In just under three months, in a tough buyer's market and a small search area, I have a new home!

There was a glitch in the first contract (buyers were professional shysters), Danielle was able to save the deal with multiple backup offers. She is very hard working and trust worthy. Danielle and Kristin made the whole process easy, contacting tenants and working with them to get multiple showings (more than I thought they would agree to) and making the whole process a walk in the park for me. We were first time home buyers, excited to break into the market in San Francisco where we have been living for many years. Tanya and Danielle came highly recommended from a friend. We worked mostly with Tanya as she typically handles the buyer side, but we were grateful to have this power duo. Tanya figured out the kind of property we were looking for very quickly. When we finally found the right home and were ready to put in an offer, we had an extremely difficult process with the seller. Tanya was absolutely on top of every possible issue.
