02/08/2011 - chrisjryan76Bought a Condo home in 2006 for approximately $350K in Wrightwood Neighbors, Chicago, IL.
Dan acted as my agent in buying a Lincoln park apt. Dan didn't disappear after the sale/commission, but rather when I needed to relocate for work reasons, he diligently and relentlessly helped me find tenants to rent out the apt. Dan's extensive knowledge of the Chicago market, his ability to get me a great deal, and his accomodating and responsive nature make him the utmost real estate professional. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to purchase property in Chicago.

Dan was our buying agent when we bought our first home. We were new to the process, and Dan was instrumental in guiding us through all stages. He made it easy, was patient with our many questions, and really took the stress out of the process.
We were temporarily living on the West Coast when we did our search, and Dan worked with our crazy schedule. We flew in and asked to see 35 places in 48 hours, and Dan made it happen. He has been working in the Chicago area forever and knows the neighborhoods very well. He was also great during negotiations -- he talked us out of making an overly generous initial offer and got us a final price well below what we expected.
After our purchase, we were refinancing and needed help with our appraisal, and Dan volunteered his time to help us get the refinance through. Dan also previously helped us find a rental unit. He was great during that process as well.

03/06/2011 - STCHef11Sold a Single Family home in 2010 in Saint Charles, IL.
As our family grew we knew we needed to move to a bigger place but we were nervous about moving in this economy. Dan was able to put us at ease by guiding us through the entire process of listing our home for a fair price and finding the best home for the value in our price range. Dan's knowledge of the Chicago area and real estate in general is very impressive. I always felt like Dan was being honest and straightforward with my husband and myself. I have also recommended his services to friends and family members and they have always been pleased.

We've used Dan Merrion at City Point Realty to buy 2 places and sell one. As a seller's agent, he gave great advice regarding staging and pricing and we were pleasantly shocked when our place was under contract in less than 2 weeks. As a buyer's agent, he found us great properties and was able to direct us to some different neighborhoods and types of houses we had not previously considered. Dan knows Chicago real estate and he is great at his job. I would recommend him to anyone, especially someone trying to sell a home during an economic downturn.
