Sold a home in 2005.Summary:
Extremely Knowledgeable, Always available, Expert negotiation skills. We bought our home in La Jolla during 2005, a time when multiple offers were made within hours. We never knew how complicated buying real estate could be and we were glad we were working with Donna Maestas. The seller countered our offer and we lost to someone who said they had cash. Donna didn’t give up. She advised us to be patient and see if the home falls out of escrow, it did, and Donna was immediately on top of the situation, she contacted the seller and composed a letter stating our extreme interest in the home which moved the seller to accept our offer. We were thrilled but the difficulties didn’t end there. Since the market was so hot and properties seemed to increase 10-20% overnight the seller decided to cancel the sale and relist at a higher price. Donna steered us through these choppy waters and ensured each issue brought up by the seller was addressed in a timely manner so the seller could not say we broke any contract terms.
