01/29/2013 - user48621284Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $500K in Marquette, Madison, WI.
Mark was instrumental in helping us buy our first house 5 years ago and our new house. In both instances, it was his research and perseverance that got the deals done. The house we just bought was a short-sale with Chase. We had heard horror stories about short sales lasting for months and Chase being a particularly difficult lender to deal with. Mark cut through all the red tape and helped us get our dream home for a price we loved. He continued to make sure all the details were perfect, right up to the closing. If you have a chance to work with Mark, I strongly recommend that you do!

Mark was amazing! Not only is he super nice and very professional, but Mark also helped a lot by pointing out potential issues with properties and recommending people he's worked with in the past for the inspection, etc. Thank you Mark, we really appreciate your help. We LOVE our new home! :)

Mark was recommended to me by my mortgage banker. I had a lot of bad experiences with other realtors. My banker was impressed with the dedicated and professional way he handled a complicated purchase they worked together on. My first home purchase was very standard, but Mark was the BEST realtor I worked with! He was extremely knowledgeable of all the areas we viewed homes in. It was very clear that Mark cared about finding the perfect home for me based on my needs. On one of the offers we countered on he volunteered a portion of this commission to help make our offer more attractive on a bank owned property. That made it very clear to me that Mark cares about helping people with their purchases and is not focused on his personal gain, as many other realtors are. I would HIGHLY recommend Mark to my friends and family looking for properties in the Madison area! Thank you Mark, I'm so happy in my new home!!!

Mark helped me established the value of my house to help me purchase from my parent's estate. He did this despite knowing that I would not be listing or submitting an offer with him.

As a first time home buyer, Mark was awesome to work with. I literally had no idea how the process worked and Mark walked me through every step. Initially, he took me through several houses and was able to answer every question that I had. It was clear to me that he really knew his stuff. He also pointed out issues that I never would have seen on my own (eg: "This furnace is going to have problems", "This house will need painting in the next 2 years", etc). When it came time to buy, I had many more questions and he answered all of them quickly and honestly. He also spent a lot of time working with my lender to make sure that everything was in order while I was working out of town. Mark really made the process a smooth experience.

I highly recommend Mark to anyone looking to buy or sell in the Madison area. We found the perfect new home, so we had to sell our house asap. Mark made it happen in less than three days! I also appreciated Mark's willingness to call, text & email. It's difficult to balance all of these modes of communication, and he did it well.

I enjoyed working with Mark and first contacted him via a link in Zillow to act as a buyer's agent for me. Mark was knowledgeable without being pushy or self serving. I had not had very positive experiences with realtors, so this was a refreshing change. I would recommend Mark.

Mark Gladue was the pivotal factor in the sale of our previous home and a crucial reason why the purchase of our current home went so smoothly. His knowledge of Madison neighborhoods, real estate regulations, and the current housing market were invaluable in our search. After the close of our home, Mark's willingness to answer questions and his network of professional contacts have made our renovation projects easier than I though possible. I would recommend Mark to anyone purchasing or selling a home.

Mark is the best realtor we have worked with in over 30 years of buying and selling homes. He is very knowledgeable about the market in the greater Madison area and is balanced in sharing the plusses and minuses of properties. He was responsive to our questions (of which we had many) and when he didn't know the answer, he would find it from a reliable resource. Mark also recommended contractors / services we will need to use after we get settled.
We would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to buy a home in the Madison area.

07/24/2011 - SPerumalBought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $300K in Middleton, WI.
Mark was a bad choice in my experience of buying a home in Middleton.
Mark was unmotivated to work as my agent. From simple questions to something needing immediate attention Mark for most times did not get back to me until I followed up with him. This is not something I wanted from my agent.
I lost a house without making an offer since Mark was out of town. I don't expect agents to be on heels 24*7 but thought I should share this for couple of reasons: 1. Seen reviews mention about agents who cancel their vacation to get an offer through. 2. As an agent Mark failed to predict someone else might put an offer.
Mark is not good at negotiating.
Mark was unprofessional when he tried to misrepresent communication between the seller and us. I later verified with the seller and found it untrue. The biggest advise I could give is if you are in doubt verify with the seller or the agent the credibility of his communication.
Overall, I would never work with Mark again nor recommend him to people I love.
