Joy Ganss-Brady and her partner, Corcoran Associate Broker Rik Kristiansson, go beyond the arena of typical brokering to bring real estate service to new and impressive heights for their customers and clients. Originally from Ohio, Joy spent every summer since the age of two in the Hamptons, where her family had a home. It was natural that after earning her Masters degree in Horticulture, and working for a large company doing landscape design/installation for several years, she ventured into her own business and moved out East full time in 1999. Joy established a thriving operation which she ultimately sold, but all the while she cemented both her reputation and her relationships with a loyal client base. Her innate creativity, eye for aesthetics, and passion for homes set the natural stage for Joy’s natural transition to residential real estate - a career she has come to love almost as much as she loves the Hamptons!

Joy strives not only to find people homes, but to secure for them the best location, value and haven for their particular needs and lifestyle. Using her technological savvy and command of the Internet, she also helps sellers maximize exposure for their properties via this valuable marketing method, as well as with more traditional advertising to generate optimal attention. “I am always looking for the next way to put our clients ahead of the curve,” says Joy. “Especially in light of the ever-evolving real estate market and the fluctuations experienced in the last five years.”

Joy genuinely cares about her clients, and her community. She has over the years gained an incredible knowledge not only of the Hamptons unique neighborhoods, but of the latest goings on that can affect the market – and your decisions. Joy is also one of only 6 certified Eco-Brokers on the East End, and is in the process of converting her Sagaponack home to be more eco-friendly. She is an avid nature lover and animal enthusiast who is involved with the Animal Rescue Foundation, the Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons, the Nature Conservancy and several other wildlife-related/conservation causes. Joy believes in supporting the arts in the Hamptons. She is an regular attendee of Bay Street Theatre and works on the fundraising committees of several local organizations. Joy is also a big believer in continuing education. She has just completed her Resort & Second Home Property Specialty training and is currently pursuing a GRI designation from the National Association of Realtors.

Joy, her husband John, a 25-year Hamptons resident, and their niece Angela, live in beautiful Sagaponack, where they enjoy sharing life with and caring for not only their cats and dogs, but the 50 ducks and family of painted turtles who “reside” on their property as well! At the end of the day, it’s all about home for Joy and that shows whether she is helping a client to buy, sell or rent.
