Sold a home in 2012.
It was a pleasure working with Gary and Dana Ditto on the recent sale of my house in Kensington. They gave sage advise about preparing the house for sale and I had a contact five days after listing the house. In order to past inspection I had to complete some added work. Gary was helpful in finding me a contractor, Paul Skafte, who was great to work with and completed all the work in a timely fashion. The entire process from listing to closing was completed in a little over a month. I felt assured and confidant that I was dealing with caring professionals that really care about their clients.

Bought a home in 2011.
Gary and Diana are outstanding realtors and really know the Bethesda/Kensington market. I can vouch for the Dittos' excellent service over the decades since my family has known Gary and Diana since 1998, when Gary shepherded my parents through the home-buying process for over a year until they found their dream house. In 2004, Gary helped me buy my condo in DC; in 2010, Gary, Diane, and their team helped us sell the same condo, which was not an easy feat given the market conditions. Once the condo was sold, the Dittos and Jonathan Burton patiently looked at scores and scores of houses until we found the perfect place in the Friendship Heights area of Bethesda.
I appreciate so many things about the Dittos. First, they have a real human touch, were extremely patient, and helped us reduce our stress so that we could see the situation clearly. They have big hearts. Second, Gary and Diana were always available to talk or give advice or look at a house. They have decades of experience to draw from, which gives them real perspective.
Third, they really want their clients to find the right house and are not just looking for a quick sale. We fell in love with a house in Chevy Chase, which presented very well, but Gary looked at the brickwork and could tell that the house was poorly built and had not been cared for; he and Diana also noted that the house might not work so well for a live-in relative. Basically, they saved us from making a big, expensive mistake!
In addition, they have an excellent team that can handle and advise on all of the stressful details involved in the transaction. And they have a wide net of contacts if you ever need a referral for any household task, from painting to gutter cleaning or garage door repair.

Sold a home in 2010.
We first contacted Gary Ditto in July of 2010, seeking help in selling our home and finding a new residence. Gary and Diana came to our home and explained the process to us. They were both very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. We soon found a home that we really liked but the deal involved a substitute purchaser motion and we were very nervous about it as we had never heard of it before. Gary and his team researched this thoroughly, had the motion examined by an attorney, and reassured us that everything was OK. We had a successful negotiation – although the price was slightly higher than we would have liked, there wasn’t any other house that appealed to us and we have no regret. Settlement went smoothly, and we moved in in October. Gary and his team moved very fast in helping us get our previous residence ready to sell, and it was listed soon after. We had an offer as soon as it was listed, and settled at the end of November 2010. We were very happy with the way the Ditto group handled everything. In addition to their competence and knowledge of the market, every person in the group was very helpful, friendly and a pleasure to know. We have total confidence in the Ditto group and would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to buy or sell a home.

Sold a home in 2010.
Gary and Diana sold our old house in Kensington and help us buy our new house in Bethesda. Before we put house on the market they point few things we should do to make house easier to sell. We didn’t feel pressured about price nor time to sell.
Buying process took longer than expected. We toured more than 100 houses and Gary and Diane were always available to come, spend time talking about the house’s positives and negatives. After over six mounts we found a new house which we love and plan to spend many happy years in it.
