took a year to sell the house, finally. guess what I want to go back to working at Lowe's, this time in Virginia. Hopefully they will hire a former employee, and trainer, plus being a licensed plumber from New York might help. wish me luck gang. see you in Virginia.
I worked for Home depot for 11 years, and switched to L:owe's last year. the difference is like day and night. I have about 23 years experience as a plumber, this is just part time in my retirmemt years. i do have to say we try to bend over backwards to help the customers. I've even gone to their homes on my own time, when there was a problem with the installation, in order to make the correct assessment of what was wrong. Best part of Lowe's. we get a discount on everything. HD only once or twice a year we got 10%. Now it's time to sell my home, so I'm putting in new counter tops. The Zodiac Quartz came out beautiful. The installer, who I never met before did a first class, clean job. Not that I'm touting how wonderful Lowe's is over it's competition, but as an employee they treat us better, so we treat the customer better. I'm only sorry that I have to leave soon to move. Maybe I will come back if retirement gets boring.
