Sold a home in 2014.

Susan's 5 star rating is highly deserved. Now that I've given away the review, here is how we came to that conclusion.

In order to give a proper assessment of Susan, I need to explain what we were looking for in an agent. When we began interviewing for an agent to sell our home, we had several requirements:

- Honesty

We wanted someone who would be straight forward with us and was skilled at setting expectations. We did not want someone who would promise they could do anything and then apologize later for falling short.

- Professionalism

We wanted someone who was confident and made a good impression on everyone they worked with. If others do not like your agent, chances are you will not either.

- Experience

There are many agents in our area. We wanted someone who knew the area and understood the environment we were working in and could utilize that knowledge. Plus, someone who could competently and expertly handle unexpected or difficult situations.

- Contacts

We knew we would need outside help with everything from repairs to cleaning and renovations. We wanted someone who would get involved in the process and help, not just make a suggestion on a repair or service needed and then leave us on our own to figure out who to use and how to execute.

- Drive

There are thousands of agents who just want to close the deal. We wanted someone who would go to bat for us in a realistic way. Someone who would be daring enough to try to push the envelop without setting unrealistic expectations or be disrespectful doing it.

We discovered Susan through a neighbor so we did not know her prior to this transaction.

What we received in Susan was ALL of our requirements above and more in flying colors! She was honest and professional. We felt like she did an excellent job of assessing our situation and helping us understand the hurdles in front of us. She worked VERY hard and stayed engaged throughout the entire process. She was daring and confident without being pushy. She did not over promise nor did she ever leave us to our own devices. She was deeply involved in everything from understanding the comps in our area to helping us decide what renovations to undertake and who to use to execute them. She never settled for the first offer or gave in during difficult times in the negotiation process, but also held us accountable to make sure we were being flexible and realistic as well. Having equal experience as a buying and selling agent, she is able to see both sides of the transaction to ensure things are moving along smoothly. This skill helps her to ensure both buyer and seller are happy and increasing the chances for a successful deal.

As a project manager and facilitator, Susan is executive grade. Plus, we felt that we walked into the selling of our home with a partner and came out with a friend.

I would recommend Susan to anyone in our area who is looking to buy or sell a home and have done so already.

Sold a home in 2014.

Susan was a real pro and a pleasure to work with. She and her assistant were responsive to communications and came armed with impressive local market research to assist in pricing and marketing the property. Susan even went above and beyond the call of duty and assisted directly with some minor staging of the property to do some fine tuning of the appearance. The end result was a quick sale with multiple offers and a positive outcome. I would happily recommend Susan to anyone entering the real estate market.  More Less
