My wife and I recently had the opportunity to talk with Jamie Madison about real estate in Davis, California. I can say with certainty that Jamie is the most helpful, sincere, honest, and straight forward real estate person we have ever encountered. She deeply cares about people and helping them find their way to a home that they like; no pressure, all class. She is a good listener, and she understands why certain situations may work best. She even helped us evaluate and write an offer for a ‘sale-by-owner’ property. If you look at real estate in Davis, don’t just walk to Jamie’s office…run. You will be glad that you did.…More Less

09/14/2012 - user2601948We connected, but it did not work out. Looking in Davis, CA
I'm an agent in Davis, and never have I seen a realtor go so above and beyond for a client. Usually we're in intricate part of the closing process because insurance is always required. Jamie recently had a cash only home purchase. In talking with her client after escrow closing, she found out that they had not put together home insurance for their new property. Instead of just recommending that they put something together, and maybe handing off a phone number, Jamie drove her client to sign up for the insurance they needed (sitting in our office for 45 minutes patiently while the client was helped). She went above and beyond as far as I'm concerned. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a home in Davis.…More Less

05/25/2012 - user534640Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $475K in Grande, Davis, CA.
We were directed to Jamie early in our search in Davis due to her great reputation and found her true to form. She stuck with us through a long process, we required alot of patience and hand-holding, plus quite a bit of creativity -- yet Jamie never gave up working hard for us through nearly a year of work. She was there every step of the way. While we knew she worked hard for us during the search, she particularly turned it on during the closing period and managed the process beautifully through a smooth closing. We can't reccomend her enough and consider her a true friend at the end of the process.…More Less

I grew up in Davis, attended Davis schools and graduated from UCD. We bought our first home in Village Homes and raised our children here.
My husband, a UCD Professor, and I have been building a bird habitat around our peaceful country home along Putah Creek, six miles west of Davis, for the past 20 years. We have observed over 120 bird species, with 40 of them nesting here.
Our son Matthias, a firefighter in Hilo, Hawaii, and his wife Lisa are the proud parents of our grand daughter Ella. Our son Miles recently graduated from Lewis & Clark College and resides in Portland, Oregon.
I had the good fortune to work at Chez Panisse restaurant for several years where I learned to appreciate seasonal foods and good cooking. Now more than ever I really appreciate the incredible array of fresh, local, season foods that are available to us here in Davis. In the rare moment that I am not working on a real estate transaction, you can find me shopping at the farmers market or cooking up a meal to enjoy with friends. I belong to our active Davis and Sacramento Slow Food conviviums.
Giving BackI am intensely concerned about preserving the peaceful, clean and safe environment of Yolo County. To put this concern to action, I serve as a board member of the Yolo Community Foundation (Link: www.yolocf.org) I am pleased to donate a portion of proceeds from each transaction to the foundation for funds that support local schools. In addition, Coldwell Banker Doug Arnold Real Estate has donated over $50,000 annually to support schools and community.
