Jason Berman began working in the mortgage industry in 1993. He founded Sierra Funding in 1995 and guided it's growth as it became one of the premier mortgage planning practices in Colorado.
In 2004, Jason was elected to the Board of Directors for the Colorado Association of Mortgage Brokers (CAMB) and he served as President of the association in 2006. As President, he led the effort to impose basic minimum standards for Mortgage Brokers in Colorado. The regulation passed in 2006 and provided Colorado consumers with the assurance that all mortgage brokers had passed an exhaustive federal background check and were registered to originate mortgage loans within the state of Colorado.
Jason has participated on the BBB Trade Practices Group, Colorado Housing Council, & testified before House & Senate sub-committees on the impact of pending legislation upon the mortgage industry.
Nationally he serves on three committees: NAMB-WEST, Education, & State Relations & he was recently selected to participate on the Colorado Mortgage Broker Education Taskforce for the Colorado Division of Real Estate as it implements the 2007 regulation for pre-licensing & continuing education requirements.
His experience representing the industry and simultaneously promoting transparency for the benefit of the Colorado consumer provides his customers with the assurance that they will receive an integrity-based financing experience when working with the J. Berman Group.
Jason resides in Frisco, Colorado. He is the owner of The J. Berman Group, a virtual mortgage practice.
His latest project is a mortgage and real estate "new media" company that provides education & information about emerging technologies, trends, and tools on the web so that loan officers and real estate agents can increase their personal productivity and organization.
