Aaron Edwards of remax took the worst time of my life and turned it into fun. He made me laugh and kept me calm more than he ever should have had to. He made sure to answer ALL of questions in a way that I understood, he found me a lender, he somehow managed to get me the house of my dreams. He was able to negotiate and get me an amazing deal. i never thought I'd be sad when I was done with this process, but I will miss talking to him daily! I will refer All of my friends and family to him. If I ever decide to go through this process again I will use him again and feel confident he has my back!

Sold a Single Family home in 2015 for approximately $325K in Collierville, TN.

Jen has sold 2 houses for us. Both experiences were great! We got top dollar and sold our house within days. Both houses were sold the highest per square foot in both neighborhoods. We will definitely continue to use her.

Sold a home in 2014 in Van Buren, Saulsbury, TN 38067.

I honestly don’t even know where to start with this review. SELLING: My wife and I were trying to sell our home due to the low interest rates. We did absolutely no research up front on the value in choosing the right agent since my wife had a friend in the business. TRUST ME!! This is the biggest mistake you will make when buying or selling a home. I don’t care if it is your brother or sister or a recommendation from your own friend…do your own research!!! We had one nibble in a YEAR! We had plenty of foot traffic but nobody was interested. I cannot explain in words the frustration this will cause you. We would clean our home, pack up our daughter and then go drive around the block for two hours for every showing. It was relentless. The person scheduling the showings would call and expect us to show our home with a 30 minute notice on a Saturday during football season. Really? Finally, I put my foot down and said our current agent had to go. Thank goodness my wife was now pregnant and we needed to move our house ASAP. My wife set up a meeting with Jennifer Carstensen (Jen). I have to admit that I’m very suspicious of anybody in sales. The fake smile, the pretty face I just don’t trust them. I’m sure after sitting on our house for a year and watching 5-6 houses around us put up SOLD signs had something to do with it. So, we finally did our research. Jen came to the top of our list. So, Jen shows up. Jen comes bouncing in our home…pretty face, soft spoken (at first), very polite and I’m rolling my eyes and glaring at her but not showing it. I’m all business. The last thing I want is the wrong person to connect with my wife and we will be sitting on our home for another year. We sit down at the kitchen table and I asked her to shoot us straight. She says ok…POW! Just like a Mike Tyson punch she pulls out her folder and says you’re trying to sell a 3 bedroom house in a 4 bedroom market and here is the data. I’m an engineer by trade so I’m gobbling up the data and she is absolutely correct. She continues on by you need to do this, this and this and I can sell your home in less than X period of time. I have contacts that can be over here to get these items taken care of and we can be on the market in about a week. We asked about our selling price. She agreed that we were not asking too much. My head was spinning. We actually just met an honest agent that has the guts to tell us what is wrong with our house? Jen delivered. We made the modifications using her contacts and the people started flowing in and they were actually interested. She nailed it. We sold our house for the asking price…very limited negotiating other than they basically wanted the swing set. Per the swing set, take it, we can afford to buy a new one because we had some money left in there to negotiate. BUYING: We are all giving each other high fives and realize….we need to be out of this house in 6 weeks and we have not found or agree on what we want. PANIC! At the time, I would travel almost every week for work. During the week Jen and my wife would look at homes and then I would drag Jen back out to the homes again on the weekends. I mentioned earlier that I’m an engineer and I will come up with any reason if I do not like a home to cross it off the list. My wife was set on this one home but power lines ran next to it. I used that as an excuse. They found another home and I used the undeveloped land as an excuse. Finally, we found a house that we both loved. We made an offer and they countered. My wife and I were ready to sell the farm to get this house but Jen stopped us. She told us..”I’m sorry guys, but I cannot let you buy this house because…well, I just don’t think it is worth what they are asking”. You know what is coming right? POW! Mike Tyson punch with 25 pages of data to back up her comments. I was in shock! Once again, she was dead on. I’m thinking but we have less than a month to find a place. We keep looking and all of the sudden there it is. We find a custom built home with some land near Oakland. It was PERFECT! There was only one catch….the house was in the middle of a divorce. This was not just any divorce, I’m talking cops, judges, you name it….we, no make that she (Jen) had to deal with it. I don’t want to get into those details but what I will tell you is that Jen stood in there and went to battle for us…and I’m talking a close to WWIII type of battle. It was soooo ugly. As a matter of fact one of the lawyers that handled the transaction advised my wife and I that it was the ugliest divorce she had to deal with in all of her years. Jen stood her ground and fought for everything we wanted. She is unbelievable. Straight up, Jen cares! She is absolutely magnificent and MOST important she has your back. Words in a review cannot describe what a good job she does and how she has changed our lives. Do yourself a favor and go with Jen….

This is my favorite review, for the unique complexity & sheer challenge in BOTH transactions! It truly captures how hard we all worked to get the right things done for you! This was my pleasure to help w/this memorable purchase and I made two amazing friends & got to hang out with two perfect little ones throughout. You guys know I'm here for you, whenever, wherever, no matter what! :)

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $125K in Cordova-Appling, Cordova, TN.

This was the easiest "major" thing I have ever done. They took care of me and did everything FOR ME. The whole process was so easy, and required very little of my time. I was told not to worry (and I'm a worrier) that they would handle everything, and that, they did. My house went on the market on a Friday and by the following Tuesday I had a contract and it was sold! I highly recommend Jennifer Carstensen, as she has put a terrific team in place and they definitely get the job done!!!

Did not respond to my inquiry in Oakland, TN 38060.

I have tried reaching Jennifer for 13 days and have had zero response. By office phone, by text, by cell phone, by her broker. Zip, zero, nada. Look for an agent who will help you. I feel sorry for the owner whose house isn't selling bc I got no response.

Let me personally apologize that you feel this way & that this is your experience. Please know we did try to call you back using the number you provided 5 or 6 times and we used the email address you provided. While we had no luck successfully reaching you by phone, we do have email records between you and I about our phone attempts and it looks like our buyer's agent Robbie was able to connect with you via email as well. We were able to provide you with the information you were looking for, which was that this house actually had a contract on it. You mentioned to Robbie that you wanted to be kept informed should the contract fall through and to the sellers excitement it has actually closed today successfully after a very smooth process! Once again, our sincerest apologies that you were left with this impression and if there's anything we can do to make it right with you, please call my cell direct at 901-201-0280 or email me at jennifer@livelovememphis.com

Sold a home in 2012 in Brunswick, TN 38002.
Primary point of contact: Aaron Edwards

Jen and a member of her team, Aaron Edwards were both extremely helpful in not only our home selling process but also in our home purchasing process. Jen was able to get a contract on our home within three days of listing our home. Once our home had been sold, that's when Aaron stepped in and made our home buying process a memorable one. He was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and very accessible during the entire process. I would highly recommend both Aaron and Jen. As a matter of fact, I have already sent them two referrals of which they were able to quickly sell and find both couples their new home.
