Bought a Condo home in 2006 for approximately $375K in Lynnwood, WA.
Jesse did 3 key things for me:
First - He LISTENED to me.
I told him exactly how much cash I could afford to put down and how much I could pay monthly. He didn't try to change me on those numbers; rather he tried to see if we could come in under my budgeted monthly payment.
Then, he let me state my preferences for location, size, type, etc. And again, he showed me the houses in MY criteria, not like some other agents I've had in the past who showed me homes that were no where near my criteria.
Second - He was HONEST with me: 100%!
No slick talk. No BS. He explained every detail to me (sometimes twice, since I can be a bit slow, LOL). He showed poise and patience with me (I'd call myself a pretty fickle buyer in this case).
We talked frankly about the pros and cons of each place we looked at that I was interested in. When we looked at a house I wasn't interested in, he simply said 'great', and we moved on. He didn't try to talk me into that place nor 'tell me all the great things about it'; I said I wasn't interested, and we moved on. Again with the great listening skills!
And Third - He made the entire experience, including the closing, pleasant.
His knowledge of homes, easy demeanor, attention to details, professionalism, communication skills, and his follow ups, all made my home-buying experience the best (of 6 homes I've bought in my life) ever!
