I would not recommend Jim to sell your house, If you are going to go with him anyway please do your own research to learn what your home should be valued at. <br/><br/>After interviewing a few realtors we decided to go with Jim and his team. To Jim's credit he is a no nonsense businessman that worked very hard to sell our house. We listed our home for just over the price that Jim told us the previous comparable sales supported. He brought in a marvelous interior decorator who made fantastic recommendations and certainly helped us sell the home faster. <br/><br/>We received an offer and negotiated back and forth and settled on what we believed was a fair price, 24 hours after the listing hit the MLS. It seemed strange to me since I was led to believe that it would take a bit longer but was happy. <br/><br/>My problem with him came when I started to educate myself more and more about the local market (as I now know that I should have done before I set the home price). I figured out that his price was about 8K -10K less than some recent comps supported in our neighborhood. I am very upset that I lost out on the extra money that I could have gotten at closing. Being upset about this I confronted him immediately after closing while still sitting at the closing table. He defended his price and called back to his staff to support his position. What was forwarded to him and what he pulled up on the MLS was precisely what I knew and he ended up admitting that we could have gotten more out of the house. I understand that honest errors can be made in an imperfect pricing industry but if an untrained person could figure it out he should have been able to. It feels to me like his model is to price homes low and move them out quickly so he doesn't have to sit on them, I could be wrong but this is how it felt to me. <br/><br/>Beware and do your homework is he is going to list your home.

Aaron, thank you for the review. As you stated you did interview several other agents that also came up with the same price range for your home. All things need to be considered, such as condition and upgrades. I take this very serious as I always strive to get maximum dollar for my clients.

Sold a Townhouse home in 2014 for approximately $125K in Wadsworth, IL.

Jim sold our house in 3 weeks and the seller offered List price provided we include a home warranty. His team knows how to get your home exposure. Keep in mind that his awesome team does a lot of the leg work, so if you are looking to talk directly to the person listing your house, Jim personally is harder to get a hold of. If you don't mind not having a personal connection (which we did not mind), I would highly recommend Jim.

Poor follow up. No communication. Wouldn't recommend. Didn't respond to my email requests to find out additional info on specific properties or respond to my phone messages.
