John Buchanan is the "GO TO GUY" for friends, family and colleagues. He always has the advice,knowledge, and kind words they all seek.
John has been very active in professional real estate organizations, holding several offices in the Texoma Board of Realtors, and serving on various committees of the Oklahoma Association of Realtors.
He specializes in Farm/Ranch, Commercial, and Residential properties. He very much enjoys his career and loves working thoroughly, side by side and step by step with his clients to ensure the outcome is what the clients needed, hoped for, and expected.
John is a native Oklahoman that grew up on a small town farm. His family moved to Oklahoma City, where he met his wife, Barbara. Wanting to raise their three children in a more rural area, they relocated to Durant in 1974. John and Barbara had several business ventures, and opened Buchanan Real Estate in 1999.
John is dedicated to community service as a member/officer of the Durant Rotary, Durant Elks Lodge, Durant Masonic Lodge, Little Dixie Shrine, Durant Main Street, and Durant Cemetery Board.
John has received numerous awards throughout the years as well as holding many titles as officer in local organizations. Some of John's achievements include GRI ( Graduate Realtor Institute), CEI ( Certified Environmental Inspector), and a graduate of "Top Gun Academy" sales and marketing course.
John has also been proudly recognized statewide for his acts in community service by the Oklahoma Association of Realtors :2006 Open Door Award".
