Sold a home in 2012.
We are so pleased to be able to put in a good word for John. We trusted him to market our remote ranch in a difficult economy, and he did so successfully. He worked very hard for us. He was honorable, energetic, and creative in his dealings, and kept us "in the loop" with every new development. He knows his trade thoroughly, and is the consummate professional in every respect. As a person, he's engaging, thoughtful, and fun to have a cup of coffee with. I recommend him without reservation.

Bought a home in 2011.
You could not ask for a better realtor. John assisted my wife and me in purchasing acreage with a small house. He went to great lengths to insure that our water rights were protected in a somewhat complicated situation with a shared spring. He was thorough, patient, conscientious and diligent in all our dealings. His low-key manner is focused solely on meeting the needs of his clients whether the listing is his or another agent's. He is especially valuable in his area of northeast Oregon because of his deep affection for the region that is the product of his own choice to move there some years ago. John's been around long enough to know where the bodies are buried yet he is not part of any old boys' network that would put his clients at a disadvantage. You will not go wrong in making him your advocate in finding the right property.

Bought a home in 2010.
John aided us in the purchase of a home in the lovely little village of New Bridge, Oregon. He was what's called a "disclosed limited agent" meaning that he represented both the seller and us as buyers. As one can imagine, this requires a certain special amount of discretion and professionalism, above and beyond that of a situation where the buyers have their own representative in the process. John was both discreet and professional.
He was also a great combination of serious and easy-going. Always responsive to our requests for information, access to the property, etc., John made it pretty easy to navigate the process for us, your typical first-time home buyers. He always made sure we were educated properly and that we felt comfortable at every stage of the game. As such, I can confidently recommend him to other prospective buyers or sellers.

Listed, but didn't sell my Mobile / Manufactured home in 2011 in Nyssa, OR.
My wife and I found John very knowlegable, trustworthy and comfortable. The most professional realtor we have ever dealt with. John went out of his way to look out for our best interest. I would highly recommend John Saylor.

Bought a home in 2011.
We do not wish to express here anything that strays at all from the truth. If this review seems 'over the top', or too full of appreciation for this man, then simply call me appreciative of him.
We feel blessed to have found our perfect home through John. John is an extremely professional, well educated real estate agent; not only in real estate, but in the ENTIRE process which comes with purchasing a home. I cannot imagine the purchase of a home being any easier. I honestly have to say that working with John was both a pleasure, as well as being extremely easy for us.. given the fact we were never expert in such affairs. John has been with us from the moment we found our home.. right up until the end of the process. Whenever we needed a question asked, he was quick to go out of his way to find us the answer. He was also very knowledgable about the home we purchased, right from the start. He was never vague in our discourse and we always felt, not only knew, but felt, he was giving us clear answers to any questions presented. In fact, we would call John more than open and friendly, we happily refere to this man as a friend of the family now, and certainly a good willed human being. John always expressed himself honestly and professionally in all his dealings with us.. and it is no stretch of the imagination to come out and say he has taken it upon himself to go far above and beyond what we ever could have expected from a business transaction.. any business transaction for that matter. If you are looking for that rare, easy to speak to, honest human being, who will put your interests first (and I literally mean that).. look no further than John Saylor.. you could not do any better. Professional, honest, expertly informed in his chosen field and then some, we find no critique in our experience with this man. We are indebted to John for his strict attention to us and all his hard work. Figuratively speaking, we felt like the only kid in the classroom.. no kidding.
