Bought a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $275k in Beverly, MA.Summary:
Kenny sold me my first house. He went above and beyond what he needed to do to get the deal done. He has worked with my family for years and is everything a real-estate agent should be. He is knowledgeable and trust worthy. Buying a house can be one of the most stressful and biggest decisions you ever make, and he makes the proses as easy as possible. I give my highest recommendations and I will continue to use him for future real-estate purchases.…More Less

Sold a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $375k in Gloucester, MA.Summary:
Kenny was the perfect professional right from the start. His estimate of the value of our house was in between that of two other realtors and seemed to us the most realistic (with a slight upward stretch of course!) The staging that he organized as part of the service was truly inspired and had me wishing I'd laid out the house that way while we were still living there. The photos were first class and the video shoot gave an original twist. He was responsive to our wishes in tweaking the marketing description and which photos to include. He also gave us great advice about the offers, including not accepting one that he thought would waste our time as it wouldn't pan out on the buyer's side based on their situation. We ended up getting an offer in the right range within a few weeks, and closed three months after putting it on the market. All in all a great experience.…More Less

Sold a Single Family home in 2010 in Bloomfield, NJ.Summary:
I was introduced to Kenny through family friends who said they would never use any agent other than Kenny MacCarthy. When I got on the phone with him for the first time, I immediately realized why. Kenny helped me to saved my financial life. Not long ago, I was upside down with a condo I'd purchased via interest-only mortgage. I owed roughly $180K, and the value had fallen to around $120K. Due to life changes, I needed to move to a different state, but I had no idea how I'd make that happen. I realized I couldn't sell the place, at least in the traditional sense without taking a loss I couldn't afford. I also had no desire to walk away, take foreclosure, and ruin my then perfect credit history. Kenny taught me about short sales, answered all of my questions, and worked with me to determine that a short sale was the right move for me. It doesn't stop there though. Since Kenny lives in Massachusetts, and I was at the time in New Jersey, he couldn't handle the sale himself. So what did he do? He personally phone interviewed realtors with strong short sale track records, to pick out the best one for me to work with. In the end, we got the short sale done, my credit took a minor hit, but has recovered quickly, and I happily moved to my new home. I couldn't have done this without Kenny MacCarthy.…More Less
