If you would like to see recent sales (last 90 days) of similar homes in the area, you can request an automated MLS report here:[link removed by moderator]This is a service we offer for people tracking their home value, considering refinancing, or selling their home.Krisstina

Zestimate

Answer
From my technical contact at Zillow:Most Zestimate info is found here: http://www.zillow.com/wikipages/What-is-a-Zestimate/ Also- this link leads to a chart where we show our accuracy in each area: http://www.zillow.com/howto/DataCoverageZestimateAccuracy.htm We can only calculate Zestimates for homes where Zillow has certain data—with TX being a non-disclosure state, we often times have less info on a home- and many times not enough to produce a Zestimate.----This confirms my guess that they do not have the data to calculate a 2010 zestimate.Krisstina

Zestimate

Answer
I'm waiting to hear back from my contact at Zillow regarding 2010 updates - they may not have public records updates for 2010 in your neighborhood that enable them to calculate zestimates. I've noticed that the other homes near you also lack zestimates.Did you have a specific purpose for looking at the value of the home? Krisstina

Zestimate

Answer
HI RockandRoll -This looks like a bug in the page's display - if you click the zestimate graph it does look like zillow has a zestimate for you:http://screencast.com/t/ODRiM2ZjNjItI'm sure you are aware, the zillow zestimates have a fairly large margin of error since they are based on public records data that is often out of date with the current market.  If you would like a more accurate assessment of value based on current market conditions I would be happy to provide one.Krisstinap.s. see http://www.zillow.com/howto/DataCoverageZestimateAccuracy.htm for disclosure of error margins on zestimates

Is it official yet - that deflation has firmly wrapped its arms around the Texas housing market?

Answer
We've been tracking this trend in our real estate blog, and have written about it extensively.  Our latest blog article about the Austin market is here:Austin Real Estate Statistics - June SummaryWith the unprecedented level of inventory on market and few buyers, price declines and longer days on market are an inevitable reality.Krisstina
