Kay was such a wonderful resource when we were buying our first home earlier this year. She helped us understand the process, talked us through the hurdles and challenges, and kept us on track every step of the way. If/when we buy another home, Kay will be the first person we call.

Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $150K in North Hampton, Saint Louis, MO.

My husband Ryan and I met Kay while we were attending open houses this summer. We were completely new to the house hunting/buying experience and were a little clueless to the whole process. Kay introduced herself to us while we were looking at a home and offered to help us in any way. We never felt pressured by her to sign anything saying we would work with her and she was willing to set up private viewings of several homes of our choice. We quickly realized she was very knowledgeable of the area we were looking in and was always prompt to answer emails and any of our questions. We had no reservations moving forward with her. Within a few weeks my husband and I had picked out our first home and Kay helped walk us through the process. While the home buying process can be very stressful she definitely made it painless and easy for us. She is very professional and we were very impressed by her promptness and knowledge.

My wife Renee and I are very happy to write this glowing review regarding the services that Kay Scheller provided for us in the process that led up to the purchase of our new home in Saint Louis, MO. Kay’s service and expertise were helpful in every conceivable way. She was prompt in her every reply, helpful and honest and forthright in answering every question that she could. From the beginning she was clear in explaining her role(s) as a realtor (and what her roles did not entail as well). She communicated both expertise and enthusiasm in our every interaction with her, and she guided us flawlessly through the process from open houses to closing. Kay communicated promptly with both the seller as well as with our lender. At each step of the way, she was there to guide us; her emails and verbal communications often took this format: “OK, great! Now, here’s your homework for the next steps in the process . . . .” It was extremely rewarding to work with her.

What impressed us perhaps more than anything was her careful professionalism in helping us to learn, and then to decide, the features that we wanted in a home. She never once failed to elicit from us reflection and conversation, so that we could discover for ourselves the direction(s) in which we wanted to go.

To be very honest, I could go on and on for quite some time. But suffice it so say that we have already sung her praises to our friends and neighbors. If anyone that we know ever is looking for a realtor, we will recommend Kay Scheller to them.

Sincerely,

The Rev. Jeffrey A. Gibbs, Ph.D.

Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $125K in Clifton Heights, Saint Louis, MO.

I had a unique situation where I had recently been divorced and left my former home. My goal was to rent for a year and then try to find something on or close to The Hill to purchase. We had a few things that were "must haves." We decided to visit a few open houses to see what was out there.

We ran into Kay at an open house that she was hosting. She impressed us with her professionalism, but even more with her sincerity. If you have ever been to an open house, the agents are sometimes a little snotty when you tell them that you were more curious about the house than looking to buy it. Kay, while she still tried to sell the house, asked us where we were in our search and what we were looking for in a home. Believe me, she would have loved to have sold THAT house to us, but she seemed earnest in her desire to maybe help us.

A week later we signed a "Buyer's Agreement" with her and we were off and slogging. Slogging through a terribly slow housing market. We found a house and put in a contract. I freaked out because I wanted to meet my five year old son's desire. I wanted to retract the contract. We got lucky and it was countered, so we walked away. Kay was understanding and forged ahead, but only after making us promise not to look at listings for a week. She thought that we were getting a little to desperate. Not only that, but when I wanted to quit looking due to the slow market, she kept me on track.

Eventually, after a few more months she found us a beautiful 1920s bungalow on a corner lot, with a giant tree, big yard and...an upstairs for my son. The house needed a new sewer and she made sure it was done right.

My son still says that "Kay found us the perfect house." Kay doesn't know he says that. My son is right. If you want an agent to find you what YOU want, an agent who will sift through what you say to find what you mean, you want to have Kay Scheller as your buyers agent. I can't say enough about how great she is.
