I grew up in Santa Rosa having been born and raised in the local Bay Area. Upon moving to Santa Rosa I immediately became involved with 4-H falling in love with the rich agricultural heritage of the area. After high school, I served in the United States Marine Corp, including service during the first Gulf War. This propeled me to seek higher education at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo (CalPoly) where I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Agricultural Business. My current hobbies include spending time with my wife and two children, traveling, music and bicycle riding.
