For anyone who's uploaded videos to realtor.com ... The only Windows Media format it supports is .wmp, NOT .wmv. But if you have .wmv, there is a program called WinAVI converter that will convert your .wmv files to .mpg (which is also a format supported by realtor.com).Just thought I'd throw that out for anyone who might have run across the same question. (Because if you call realtor.com tech support, the answer is "we haven't been trained on that.")
I found a great item called a MagniCard. It's especially terrific if you work with a lot of seniors. It's the size of a credit card. The lower half can be personalized with your name, logo, phone, etc., and the upper half is a magnifier. Fits in your wallet ... great for menus that are hard to read, etc.
I have my own home listed here ... I just mention "Owner is licensed realtor" in the description. Uh .... anybody interested in a great beachside townhouse in FL?? :-) Just thought I'd ask!
I have a question for any of you fellow Floridians here ....Two years ago, my homeowners insurance was $1,065. Last year it jumped to $2,444 ... more than doubled as many people's were. I just got this year's bill in the mail and it's only $1,173. Anyone else experience something funky like this? I'm afraid to call the insurance company ... I'll probably hear something like "Oh, THANK YOU for catching that .... it's supposed to be THREE thousand, not ONE!" :-)
It would be helpful to "shade" the completed ads so that it's easy to quickly visually distinguish active ads from completed ads. Also, it would be nice to add a "click through %" column for analysis. Thanks!
Thanks, Dustin ... realtor.com now CAN accommodate .wmv files. I just uploaded my virtual tour in .wmv format with no problem. Since this feature is in beta testing, I'm glad they responded and now allow that format. Thanks for the info!
"what if the home without the key turned out to be the client's dream home?"Well, take a look around, folks. My guess is there are SEVERAL possibilities on the market that could turn out to be the client's dream home!I don't think it falls on the BUYER'S agent AT ALL ... it's the SELLER'S agent's responsibility to make sure the home is ready and able to be shown. The second-guessing is pointless. I mean .... what if the client's "dream home" isn't on the market yet .... but WILL be NEXT weekend????
I've started using Zillow's EZAds, and log on quite a bit to follow the Discussions. I was frustrated because my ads kept showing to ME ... money spent for NOTHING.However, I think I've found a solution ... I do a "find homes" search on an address in another area entirely. That seems to "place" me there on the Zillow computer, so I don't see MY ads anymore.
