Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $375K in Buffalo Grove, IL.
I sold my house through Jane Lee in June 2013. I found her to be extremely disrespectful, unprofessional and conceited. She was very engaging in our initial meeting and told me she could sell my house at a price I liked. I spent over $2000 on improvements she recommended. Once she convinced me to list through her, I was told that I had to have all contact through her secretary and not to contact Jane Lee directly. On the rare occasions I did speak to her, she was extremely pushy about accepting any offer, even though they were below the minimum she originally promised me. When I didn’t accept the low-ball offers, she became agitated, rude and even more shockingly, SWORE AT ME. When I told her the price was less than what she had convinced me to list the house for she said, “I am not God.” It got so contentious that I refused to speak with her. I wanted to end our contract, but she threatened to sit on it for a year and no one else would be able to list it during that time so that I wouldn't be able to sell my house during that time). I did eventually sell my home for more than she "expected" me to sell it for, but the final dealings were made through her secretary.

I have sold a house previously through a different real estate agent and it was a much more pleasant experience. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND USING JANE LEE

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $250K in Round Lake, IL.
I had a very poor experience in selling my home through Jane Lee. I sold my home in August, 2013. She tried to convince us to put our house on a lower price and when we put our house on sale at a higher price, she replied in an email which I quote below.

"Don't blame us if we are not able to sell your house at this price".

Well, guess what, we were able to sell our house at the listing price. Jane Lee used swear words and was literally yelling at us once over the phone. She is most rude person I have ever met. I will never recommend her for anyone.

Listed, but didn't sell my home in 2012.
I was very aggressive in selling my house. I talked to her and setup the price according to her recommendations. She kept asking me to drop the price which I did (three times). She asked me to drop the price again and i refused.

Her team didn't look after my house. After a dozen showing, house looked like a complete mess.

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $475K in Lindenhurst, IL.
Jane's treatment of me, her own client, was the worst I have ever dealt with. Her team was absolutely inept, and I had to personally work to keep a sale which i practically brought to them, then personally schedule the closing. Nothing was easy with working with this team. Jane is downright rude and spiteful. Once a client realizes this and attempts to cancel their listing agreement, she immediately refers to her attorney. Use extreme caution with this woman, and make sure you have a good attorney on your side to review the listing agreement before you sign.

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $525K in Deer Park, IL.
Jane lee came right over to sell herself for my listing. I told her I wanted to interview two other realtors first. She bullied herself and I listed with her without getting the chance to get other market analysis. My fault, I let her push me. She gave me a sell price, I listed it for more, room to negotiate, she kept calling me telling me it was too high. I lowered it . I privately appraised it and didn't tell her. I got my appraisal after I lowered to her price she wanted me to lower it to, and took the low ball offer, when I told her I didn't want to sell to that person, she yelled at me, she is verbally abusive and has NO communication skills. I got to the point where I would not return her calls since she would yell at me every call. She stopped yelling at me when I told her the amount of the private appraisal and I told her she is not a real estate professional because she is trying to convince me and sell my home less then the appraised value,at this time I already had taken her advice for a fifteen thousand dollar less than offer that I accepted she still wanted me to go lower. I did not need to sell and was not in a desperate situation. She ordered me not to go to the closing, sent me an e-mail thanking me for the sale and sent me a calendar. I had to apologize to my neighbors for the low ball sale which will affect their home sales in the future. I have bought and sold many homes and never had such a COLD experience. I do not recommend her as everyone's neighborhood will go down, the more she sells. I found her being number one realtor because she gives homes away for her own selfish needs and did not care about her client, ME.

Listed, but didn't sell my Single Family home in 2014 in Lake Forest, IL.
We have a small home in Lake Forest, and from the beginning we thought they had it priced too high for what it is, and that resulted in very few showings and no offers in the first 6-8 weeks. We ended up dropping the price by $35,000 just to get us close to what my wife and I thought was "market value" before we just gave up out of frustration. We managed to have two open houses in 3 months, the second one wasn't even published on the MLS and internet realty sites until 24 hours before the open house, which resulted in a poor showing. When you've got 3 kids and 2 dogs open houses are difficult, and we would've liked them to be more productive, but rarely did anyone show up with a realtor, which would be a direct indication of the poor marketing. Although Jane Lee seems to move quite a few properties in Lake County, I'm not sure she's the right choice for North Shore homes.

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $225K in Grayslake, IL.
We really wanted to sell our house quickly, and Jane Lee's team managed to do so in a reasonable, strategic manner that was understandable. They kept us updated on any offers and visits, as well as any renovations our house needed to make sure the sale went through. With our experience, we can definitely see why she is the #1 team in the area for real estate.

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 in Lake Bluff, IL.
My experience with Jane Lee was seamless throughout the entire process. My husband and I both appreciate Jane's honest and straightforward manner. She is very knowledgeable on what it takes to sell a house and has various staff members that help you through each step. We did our homework before hiring her and her numbers fell right in line with our figures. We took her advice on pricing and did what her stager, photographer and marketing person told us to do. With the assistance of the Jane Lee team, our house was under contract in 11 days! She also took the time to show us many homes over about a 5 month time span. She was very honest and direct about whether or not she thought certain houses and areas would fit our needs. On the day we saw the house we ultimately purchased, Jane could not meet us but she sent one of her staff members within 15 minutes! With the assistance of Jane and Hope, we got a house we love at a great price. They helped us through the entire process of getting to closing and having the closing go through with few problems. Jane is not just a great realtor but an employer that has surrounded herself with a great staff! We never had to wait long to get a response on the various questions that we had during the buying and selling processes. We usually had an answer/response right away when we had a question. And my 5 year old daughter loved her visits with Jane!!!

Jane started with a detailed analysis of out home's market value giving us a great place to start the pricing and then her team prepared the property for showing and for marketing. They did a great job with each as we had a large number of showings with several parties interested. She helped negotiate the final sales price and get us to closing. We were very pleased with her help and would use her team again.

We connected, but it did not work out.
Jane's response and profesionalism was excellent and recommendations made just right. We unfortunately did not make a purchase due to financial reasons but definitely recommend Jane. Our situation dictated that we need to wait another year for a house and stopped searching.
