It was such a pleasure working with Derek and Aaron. From our first encounter with them, I knew that they had our best interest in mind. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the area we were looking in (BPC) and provided so many valuable insights to us because of that. As well, both of them are MBAs with previous experience in financing and /or real estate which can be invaluable in the buying / selling process as well in the overall negotiation process.
As well, their responsiveness was just amazing. I would write an email to them and within minutes get a response. They also spent so much time with us both via email but also in person.
From the moment that I met them, I knew that these were the people who I wanted to deal with for all my transactions. And during the process, they became our friends. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy / sell in NYC!

Derek's assistance and professionalism throughout the entire process far exceeded our expectations. His financial background and analytic skills saved us time and research as he prepared various spreadsheets for us at impressive speed. He provided great insight as we investigated several neighborhoods and looked at many apartments. We highly recommend Derek and would use him again should the need arise.
Response from Derek
Derek and his team were incredible. I was originally working with another agent until I met Derek by responding to one of his ads. He was clearly absolutely brilliant and was far beyond anyone I've ever met in this industry. He was in total control of the process from beginning to end. Again, I've never seen anything like it. I would not want to compete against him.

Derek knowledge of ny real estate is amazing. There is nothing that's too great that Derek wouldn't for us to help us find the home of our dreams. Any homebuyer would be lucky to have him as their broker

My first experience with Derek was when I sent him an email on a Saturday evening asking him to call me on one of his listings. To my surprise, my phone rang about 37 seconds later and we booked an appointment for the next day (he was still at the office).
Derek's knowledge of the market is borderline ridiculous; you never get that combination of skill and responsiveness in the same person. He provides consultative skills that far exceed basic RE agent knowledge. He has extensive knowledge in finance and overall business which is necessary in this market. I never met an agent with a Columbia University MBA until now! Most importantly, he is professional with not even a trace of arrogance. Now that's rare in NYC.

I googled the address, in order to find the owner of record; I wanted to contact him to see if he knew anything about her. Couldn't find the information I needed. So I looked at the ads Google puts on the right column of the page, and called the first realtor, figuring he may know how to find the owner. He called me back, said he had a different database available and started looking for the owner. He found him, but then said he was nearby, also on Wall St. He said he'd be glad to go and see if she was there (without electricity, her cell died yesterday), and all right. I reminded him that it was 30 flights up, and at present, a walk-up. He was fine with that, and after about an hour, called me to say he was there, Gisella was fine, and they were trying to figure out someway to get her out. After calls and texts back and forth, I got a call from my friend in Iowa, who said the city was sending fire and rescue to help her down the stairs, with her luggage, and the realtor, one Derek Lee, was taking her to a friend's home where she can shower and get ready to leave for Fairfield, IA, on Monday. Long story short, all is working out as hoped, and if you are ever in need of property in lower Manhattan, Please Use Derek Lee. I don't know him from Adam, but anyone who will put himself out like this is a person you can count on, and one you want on your side. And as an unsolicited testimonial, You Can't Make This Stuff Up.
