Lindsay Dreyer was fantastic to work with! When it came time to sell my NW co-op, I knew that I wanted to work with an agent that would make sure my listing had a strong internet presence. She arranged for fantastic photographs to be taken that really represented the feel of the building and apartment, down to the antique door fixtures. Lindsay knows my neighborhood well and which things to highlight and market to potential buyers. She was consistently available and responsive to all communication. Always ready to talk or meet during a time that worked with my schedule. Even in a buyer’s market, I feel she was able to sell my property in a timely manner (3 months from listing to closing) and get a fair price. I would recommend her to anyone wishing to sell a property in DC.
Response from Lindsay
We were thrilled to work with Lindsay to sell our home in Washington, DC's Brookland neighborhood. Lindsay was honest, open and "in our corner" throughout the staging and selling process. We followed her directions on staging and had over 6 bids on the house within 6 hours of listing. We can't recommend her highly enough. In addition to being professional, thorough and assertive (in the very best way) we thoroughly enjoyed our time with her and are proud to call her a friend.

I bought my first home with City Chic Real Estate, and I could not have scripted a better experience: I found my dream house in the most painless way possible. Buying a house can be both time-consuming and taxing on the nerves, and LIndsay Dreyer and her team know this. Lindsay never wasted my time--from the first meeting in her office, she was exceptional, listening to what I wanted, respecting my financial boundaries, and throwing in a wild card or to to help me think outside the box. I never saw a property that didn't meet my "must-haves" or was outside my financial boundaries unless I asked to see it. And when my dream house came on the market, Lindsay gave me amazing advice, helping me win a competitive bidding process.
And it's not just Lindsay--her team was incredible. Between the offer and closing--a very busy time--Lindsay got married. Even though she was gone for over a week, there was no impact on the deal--Liz and the rest of her team covered seamlessly. No small feat, when one considers I was a first-time home buyer who had questions about EVERYTHING.
I cannot recommend City Chic highly enough. If you're looking for a home, you should seek out Lindsay and her crew ASAP. You will not regret it.

What can I say, Lindsay Dreyer is fantastic!
Although I did much of the grunt work myself by locating potential properties online, when it was time to put in a bid on a house in NE DC, I needed my own agent to represent me. We called Lindsay and she was a huge asset -- she negotiated a great price on our behalf, and even managed to get closing help from sellers to cover some work that came up in the inspection. We ended up paying a lot less than we expected to.
I'm generally skeptical of real estate agents -- I've had bad experiences in the past, and have often felt like they didn't have my interests in mind. Lindsay was definitely an advocate for me -- she offered great advice and genuinely cared about my concerns and worked very hard on my behalf.
I would enthusiastically recommend her to anyone looking to buy a property in the DC metro area.

08/13/2012 - user5566222Bought a Cooperative home in 2012 in Logan Circle, Washington, DC.
Here's the deal with Lindsay, who's great and amazing -- she listened to what we had to say; started broadly with many options; narrowed according to our comments; never wasted our time; embarked on smart negotiations once we had chosen a property; remained calm when inevitable snafus (on the seller's side) arose; advised us in the financing process (gratis - this is not something she's required to do); responded quickly to all queries; and was generally an exceptional trouble-shooter. She knows her market very well; trust her.

08/01/2012 - user9849696Bought a Condo home in 2012 in Logan Circle, Washington, DC.
We had a terrific experience working with Lindsay Dreyer on the purchase of an apartment in Dupont Circle/Logan Circle. She knows the DC market well (the current state of the market, its history, and how DC is doing relative to the rest of the country). We were initially undecided on neighborhoods and amenities. She showed us a diverse array of inventory and did a great job of listening to our reactions to help us zero in on the listings from which we ultimately made our choice. She was totally professional and responsive -- making herself available on weekends and evenings when we were available to see properties. She helped us negotiate a good deal and did all of the work to see us through to closing. We love our new place and highly recommend Lindsay to anyone looking for a place in DC. She's a fantastic realtor - and a lot of fun (and funny) too!
