we have worked with Lynn Lesperence for a couple of years. She was very responsive when we called to look at properties. she even took us to showings in the bitter cold of January and February when we saw a listing. very patience with us, and did not get discouraged, she kept showing us listings and she showed us exactly what we asked for. At least once or twice a week there would be new or renewed listings on our email for us to review. We appreciate all her time and effort she has shown. Was a pleasure to work with her.

Lynn was our realtor for almost a year during our home buying process and she was a great help to us as we were first time home buyers. She was patient and showed us a number of properties during our search. She also took numerous inspectors to houses for us when I was not able to go myself. She is a genuine person and I would recommend her to anyone wanting to purchase a home as she takes into consideration your needs and is not pushy.
Bought a Multi Family home in 2013 for approximately $400K in Otego, NY.
I was looking to move upstate New York from Long Island. I found Lynn through Zillow. I wanted to place a bid on two homes, but Lynn told me that it was not permitted, so I only placed an offer on one. Lynn offered to find me a home inspector, and an attorney. The home inspector picked up a mouse issue, of which Lynn never relayed to me. She was supposed to tell me had he found anything. As part of the realtor contract, I agreed to the home inspection under Lynn's advice. She told me it was not the norm to have pest inspection, so I waived that and was told that if the home inspector found any pests, she would let me know. She failed to do so. There were mouse droppings all over our 4200 sq ft home. When I called Lynn about it, she offered to remove two mattresses the previous owner left behind (which she had told me were in great condition) because they were covered in mouse droppings. She said her husband and her would come "burn them." The lawyer she suggested never asked about the property condition disclosure at the closing (which was concealing major issues, to the tune of over $50,000) nor did he ask about the walk through. Paper work was just signed, funds electronically transferred, and all parties got up from the closing table, and Lynn never relayed the troubles discovered during walk through at the closing. The real mess began when I began moving my belongings into our new home. I was not aware of any problems until after the closing. When I arrived at my new home, I found it was infested with mice. The driveway had suffered a collapse, which Lynn never checked into, nor did the lawyer. Had I been made aware of the mouse infestation, and the driveway collapse involving the town, Army Corp of Engineers, and the DEC, I would have picked the other house. But Lynn gave me disinformation when she told me I was limited to making only one offer. Based on my experience, I would NEVER recommend Lynn, as she should have known more about the property, as she should have been more acquainted with the terrain. It became apparent that the commission was the goal, NOT assisting me in my purchase. I felt pressured and misled, and now have to face tremendous hardships as a result of not having her represent my best interests. I hope this satisfies your request for details. I have contacted the reviewer off-line to address any concerns she has had with my service, and I was under the impression that she was satisfied. Real estate transactions are complex, all are emotional, and some can be downright challenging. While I see what happened here very differently than the reviewer, I do appreciate all feedback from my clients. Thanks, Martha, for taking the time to write the review - I truly regret that you remain dissatisfied.
Lynn was excellent. She easily dealt with the difficulties of helping an out-of-state buyer (me). She was always positive and helpful, and patient when interstate issues made us start the mortgage process all over again. She kept our seller informed and interested until the paperwork could be worked out.
