We recently contacted Lynn Purcell about a property she has listed for sale. The home had been listed for sale for over six months and we were hoping the owner would consider renting to us. We are planning to buy in the very near future, but we are waiting to see if my husband's job will remain local. There was even a possibility we would have been interested in purchasing the home we wanted to rent after we learn of the status of my husband's job. This was a guaranteed loss for the owner she was working for. When speaking with Lynn on the phone she was extremely short and rude. She had no knowledge of our situation, just knew what school district we wanted to stay in. Repeatedly she was hateful and snide in her comments. I think her true colors were showing. I am very surprised that she receives such high recommendations. I was utterly shocked and taken back by her abrupt and unprofessional attitude. She acted as if we were bothering her. Through our process of searching for a home in St. Charles we have spoken with many, many realtors. I can honestly say I would recommend any of them before recommending Lynn.

Lynn and Eric Purcell are a fantastic team. They understood what we were looking for and showed us everything they possibly could. There was no pressure to buy, and encouraged us to take our time if we needed to think on some things. They were both beyond professional, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to any of my friends or family members. They knowledge of the market was from genuine experience, and they were an absolute pleasure to do business with.
On June 7th we closed on our dream home thanks so much to the amazing efforts of Lynn and Eric Purcell. When we decided we wanted to relocate from the Chicago to the western suburbs, we began looking at realtors online with experience in our desired areas. After reviewing a few, we contacted Lynn; everything we read about her, and the contents of her website, “felt right”. After a phone call, a couple of emails and, most importantly our first trip to see houses together, there was no doubt we had made the right to work with Lynn, and her son, Eric.
Lynn and Eric worked tirelessly and regularly for us. After providing a list of preliminary houses, and then seeing them with us, Lynn was able to quickly understand our needs, hopes, and desires in a new home. She never wasted our time with houses that were not the right fit – including never pushing us to look at houses they represented – and gave us objective feedback on listings that we found and brought to her. They NEVER gave us the hard sell on any property and kept a measured approach and perspective even as we got very excited about a couple properties. Both Lynn and Eric are very adept at giving clear feedback and perspective on properties while staying positive and professional.
We had a few hiccups on our side related to financing, and changed our game plan on Lynn and Eric a couple times, and through it they never balked and just rolled with the changes to redirect our efforts. When we missed an opportunity to make an offer on a more expensive property due to financing, Lynn and Eric kept a truly spiritual perspective on it; they encouraged us to keep looking and that perhaps that hadn’t truly been the “right” house for us. (They were right! Our home is bigger, nicer, and less expensive than the one we “missed” on!)
Both Lynn and Eric are extremely knowledgeable about the real estate market in general and what’s trending versus what’s happened historically. Their expertise in their core markets is deep and impressive and when we asked questions they didn’t have the answer to, they always provided data quickly – giving us all of the information we needed to make good decisions.
And when we finally made on offer on what is now our amazing home, Lynn was a tough negotiator refusing to let us overpay by a few thousand dollars (when we were!) because she intuitively knew what the final price should be. Because their work and guidance through the entire process had been without exception, we trusted her to set the right price. And, of course, she was right! The sellers agreed after very little negotiation.
Not only would we encourage anyone searching for a home in the St. Charles, and greater surrounding area, to work with Lynn and Eric Purcell on a new home purchase … but would consider you crazy if you did not! Thank you Lynn and Eric for making our home purchasing process a truly wonderful experience.
